d-uneek Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Hoping to find out if I might be able to land a 4 or 5 star hotel on the strip for around $100 per night for the above mentioned dates? Going to be reserving a couple of rooms and am testing the waters. Hoping to land Treasure Island or something along those lines.

cbob8 Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 I looked up your dates on Hotwire, and see that a 4* North Strip hotel is listed at $98. This is probably Treasure Island. Note, though, that they DO add a resort fee (like many others).
d-uneek Posted February 17, 2011 Author Report Posted February 17, 2011 I'm looking to get 2 rooms with my reservation. Thank you for trying to help.Yes, I saw that Treasure Island has a resort fee. If I bid on their star level/ area I will definitely bid with that in mind.
thereuare Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 I'm guessing a 5* will likely run you about $120-$135... as mentioned above what is likely the Treasure Island can be booked for $98/nite.If you want to stay directly on the strip it's not safe bidding the Strip South zone since you could land the Westin, which is slightly off the strip.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. d-uneek Posted February 18, 2011 Author Report Posted February 18, 2011 Thanks for your help guys. I ended up getting Treasure Island for $85 a night. I started with an $80 bid on the PRICELINE link provided by this site, but they countered with $100 so I used a free bid by selecting a non four star zone and increased the amount to $85, which was accepted! The total, after calculating the 'resort fees', comes to about $355. I can live with that :) Thanks again!
