ua841 Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Used the information in this HOTWIRE SAN FRANCISCO thread and ended up with the Argonaut. Selected amenities include: Fitness Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Business Center.Any suggestions for parking other than their $36/night valet?
Blueskies Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Hi,I started the other thread and delighted that the mystery is now solved. I just wish that I had been confident that it was going to be the Argonaut. Can't say I am too upset at getting the Park Hyatt for $122 + tax but Argonaut was my first choice but I felt it was too risky. Hope you have a good stay and glad that the comments from the earlier thread gave you a good background. This is a great board. A bit addictive perhaps but fun all the same. Are you driving to the city or just hiring a car when you are in town?Regards
thereuare Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding!Thank you for posting and sharing your results with the board.Based upon Brochquine's comments this is a preferred hotel and seems like a good price for San Francisco. Thanks for including the amenties in your post as we have updated our HOTWIRE HOTEL LISTS accordingly. This property used to show a restaurant icon, do you know if this hotel no longer has a restaurant, if it's closed for renovations, or perhaps they just no longer include it as a listed amenity?Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
damo Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 Any suggestions for parking other than their $36/night valet? We stayed here last summer. You are only charged valet for the days you use the car. So if you just park it and leave it, you only pay once. There are some parking garages behind the hotel that you can use that are less expensive. This is an amazing hotel and we recommend it highly!
BEAV Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 Yes, good to finally solve this mystery. Can't help but wonder why Hotwire doesn't include a restaurant logo in it's description of the hotel. Is it simply a Hotwire oversight, or could it be the restaurant is owned independantly, despite direct access off the hotel's lobby? http://www.bluemermaidsf.com/
