Priceline Hotel: London Hethrow

Hey all,

Been reading through recient posts regarding priceline in Europe. I'm going to be going this summer (June 8-21). Have lots of general concerns but will start with a specific question:

Need a room on June 20th near Heathrow airport. Will be flying in from Madrid to Heathrow on the 20th and out to the US on the morning of the 21st. I want to know if there will be any issues getting between hotels in that area and the airport for the 2 transfers. I understand that the tube may be an option. We are young and willing to walk as needed.

I've done this sort of thing twice in the last year. I got the Holiday Inn Ariel each time and there were no problems with the transfers. The tube isn't really an option for hotels near Heathrow. You either take the public bus, the Hoppa bus, or a taxi.

The public bus is free within a certain perimeter from the airport, or otherwise costs 1 pound. The Hoppa Bus costs 3 pounds. A taxi costs about 10 pounds. The majority, but not all, of the 3* and 4* hotels are in the free perimeter.
