KL803 Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 Hi there,was looking for a NYC hotel 4/23-4/29 (2 rooms, 4 guests). Got the mentioned 2.5* in SoHo for $ 157 with these amenities:- breakfast- gym- business- internetWhat could that be? Any help much appreciated, thanks!

thereuare Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 Neither of the properties above have been identified, but a guess for the Downtown property would be the Best Western or the Hampton Inn. However, what are you looking for from this stay, as neither of these zones are typically the first choice of the average user and i think there are similarly priced, and higher rated, hotels which are more centrally located.As well, many have been winning the 4* Algonquin for $145-$155 for rates which include yours above... i would suggest at least giving that a try first if it would work for your plans. KL803 Posted March 27, 2011 Author Report Posted March 27, 2011 In the end we opted to stay on the Jersey side where we got the Sheraton Meadowlands through Hotwire for $ 76+. We booked 2 rooms 4/26 - 4/29 using the HOTWIRE link on this site.

The hotel runs a free shuttle to Secaucus Junction from where it's only 15' by train to Penn Station.
