Priceline Hotel: 3* Pittsburgh (Airport PIT) Courtyard

First bid, 3* Airport, $40 failed (I have had success in past with $40 at 3* and getting Courtyard, so tried).

Added Greentree, $45 bid (which if got Greentree would only be Radisson or Holiday Inn, both acceptable, but prefer Greentree), success.

Prefer Airport 3* hotels and Radisson at Greentree if have my daughter, for indoor/pools, but not a trip with toddler, so didn't matter. Got hotel with indoor pool anyway, but...

Courtyard was in the middle of some EXTENSIVE renovations. Half of hotel shut down (thus the likely higher price, though makes little sense to me, but I guess less rooms available). Whole hallways shut down, tools, materials, stuff everywhere. Lobby closed, temp lobby facility in former conference room, with 2 computers and printers and a tv, snack bar items and drinks.

First room wasn't ready to be rented, major internet issues.. modem not hooked into wall, and no power supply. When brought a power supply, still didn't work, had to change rooms to get internet.

Seriously, in 2010?!!? This hotel should have wifi... Ridiculous. Should have been first step in renovation. New rooms are going to be nice, as I'm sure hotel will be, once finished.

Again, easy access to airport, Coropolis, Robinson Town Center mall and shops/IKEA, 15 minutes to downtown, good convenient location, budget price, good history of satisfied stays at this property, despite this somewhat disaster of a night.
