Priceline Hotel: 2* Charleston Holiday Inn Express Civic Center

First bid at 3*, $50 trying for Embassy or Marriot (have often gotten those). Not willing to go higher or chance nights because I'm just in town to sleep and pick up daughter Christmas morning.

Rebid $50 at 2.5* failed.

Added 2* figuring I would get Best Western (decent hotel after remodel) or HI-E. Lowered to $40. Sucess.

Had more expected the Best Western, as I usually get it when I go as low as $40. Rarely the HI-E. But happy. Both BW and HI-E offer free WiFi and nice breakfast options. HI-E is a more attractive property, though BW has better appointed rooms (fridge in room, flat screen AOC 32" TV's) than the HI-E though. Both have very friendly staff's, a business center with printer, and a work out facility. The BW does have an outdoor pool, while the HI-E has no pool, which is of little relevance in December.
