ravinia Posted April 9, 2005 Report Posted April 9, 2005 First bid Southeast up into the $60 range; looks as though the Memphis Marriott on Thousand Oaks no longer wants PL business. At $40 East Memphis, received counteroffer for $52; added $1 and there we are! $54.88 with taxes and fees.
thereuare Posted April 9, 2005 Report Posted April 9, 2005 Thanks for sharing your win.Have you been rejected for multiple dates in the Southeast zone... maybe the Memphis Marriott just has higher than usual occupancy for this particular date?Hopefully you'll enjoy the Doubletree just as much... at least the cookies are good! :) Enjoy your stay. ravinia Posted April 9, 2005 Author Report Posted April 9, 2005 Many different dates since December have been no luck. Regular rates as low as $89 at the Marriott in question did not do any better than the $119 and $189 dates; bidding from two months up until two days before stays... and bidding high ($70). Seems like they just disappeared. $33 there was a deal!
