First bid of $40 for 3* Charlotte downtown rejected. They counteroffered $55 and I declined.

Went back to my zone chart and expanded from downtown to also include UNC Charlotte university, and dropped my bid to $38 + tax.

Courtyard by Marriott accepts this bid. For a weekend stay and last minute booking, I couldn't be much happier.
