I am looking to stay at London Heathrow airport on Nov 23 for 1 night. I'd like a 4* for $60. Not sure that's realistic but hoping someone can give me a strategy. Thanks!

I haven't been successful in winning a bid yet. Curiously, when I bid $49 it suggested $62 (declined). When I bid $55, it suggested $70. Should I have taken the $62 bid? Also, I start a new bid each day (using the link from here) - is that the correct way? Thanks!

Hard to say, i don't know why the offer changed. Try $49 again and have in mind that HOTWIRE got 4* at $69 for your date.
