Hotwire Hotel: 2* San Diego Mission Valley Hotel Circle Area

New member-love this board.

Will be in San Diego 10/8 to 10/11. Hotwire has 2* each night for $39 at San Diego Mission Valley Hotel Circle area with 60% approval rating with comped breakfast and internet. Any ideas what hotel this is? The fact that a pool is not listed is confusing me.

UPDATE: I did find the hotel that has the 60% approval rating (Mission Valley Resort) when searching for a package, but the amenities clearly don't match up. This is confusing me. :)

You can't use any of the package information from Expedia to help ID HOTWIRE hotels... the package information uses Expedia for the backend so your comparisons will not be apples-to-apples.

This property has not yet been reported to the board, but unless you don't expect much, i'd look elsewhere... the HOTWIRE user recommended number is fairly low, and the breakdown of ratings is rather poor, imo.

What is your maximum budget for this stay? Are any other offerings of interest?

I need 2 rooms for 3 people, and we really only need a place to shower and sleep and don't plan on spending any other time at the hotel.

While some 2* hotels may work for your needs, others may not... and with PRICELINE / HOTWIRE you can't choose which type you will get.

You know your needs, and how flexible you are in handling adverse situations, better then we do, so i'd take your personality in mind (and that of the other guests) if you move forward with this one.

Now there is a 2.5* HOTWIRE for $46 a night, with 65% approval and a bunch of amenities, including pool, internet, weight room, dining and GOLF COURSE. There can't possibly be many hotels in the Hotel Circle area with a golf course?!?!?!?

My guess is the Ramada Plaza Hotel Circle South, downgraded from the previously reported 3* level.
