smartcookie
Trying to get a good deal on a hotel in South Beach for 3 nights, 12/25-12/28. So far, failed $50 and $55 bids. Will update as I do some more bidding in the next few weeks. smartcookie
Hi,I found a $20 bonus cash offer via my Citi credit card online account, so I added it to my account and am using that now to bid. It's adding $6.67 per night to my 3-night reservation. I am also bidding on both the South Beach - Ocean Drive and South Beach - Collins Avenue Oceanfront areas. I just tried bids of $54+6.67, $60+6.67 and $65+6.67 for a 3* and all were rejected so far, i.e. the highest rejected bid with bonus cash included was $70.67. I'm going to try again tomorrow. We're willing to pay about $75-80 as prices for these days don't seem extremely high and we can get a private room at a hostel for about $60-70 as well.Hope this helps. smartcookie
Thanks! I'm just not sure how much it may take to win, so any insight from experience would be appreciated. Expedia is showing the following (kind with some hotels showing higher rates for the night of Dec 25 and others showing same price for all nights):$139 Hotel Nash$199 Wyndham Garden$229 Royal Palm $251 Doubletree Surfcomber$252 New Clinton$292 Sense South$189 The Chesterfield (2.5*?)$310 for the Mondrian (4*) I always the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links from this board for my purchase!
