Priceline Hotel: SFO 9/16 - 9/20. $146 too low?

Hi, I am going to PRICELINE thru this site and unsuccessfully bidding upto $146 for a 4 * picking all of the areas except for San Mateo and the Airport. I see most ppl got their 4* for around 110. Am I missing something? :) Need help.

There is a large convention starting 9/19 which is ratcheting up rates... is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option? (NOTE: you'll likely have to change hotels during your stay) In your reply please list the zones, by PRICELINE name, which you have bid (rather then the ones that you did not bid) and we'll take it from there.

such a quick reply back...very impressive! Splitting hotels would be very inconvenient and we don't wan to do that but are open to any 4* in the following area:

USE

USW

SOMA

Fisherman

Financial

Or if I have missed any other good area.

If 4 star doesn't work then we can even go for a 3.5 star.

Pref dates: Sep 16-20

Alter dates: Sep 23-27

I am fairly new to PRICELINE but this is what I did for the last hotel i booked and now looking for one in SFO

I checked the Calendar of wins for the dates I want & see what others are getting then bid accordingly

Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins

I saw some 3* in USW going for under $100 for your second week choice Might be worth checking out
