jshapa Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 Just an FYI, made a bid for $102 for 4/5-4/7 and it was rejected. :)
thereuare Posted March 21, 2005 Report Posted March 21, 2005 For these dates i don't think you're being realistic with a $102 bid. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
jshapa Posted March 22, 2005 Author Report Posted March 22, 2005 If I am to bid on a four star for 4/5-4/7 does anyone have a recommendation of a starting price?
thereuare Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 Priceline is not always the best option in Vegas, as i discuss in this PRICELINE LAS VEGAS thread. How high did you bid for the Venetian? How high are you willing to bid for a 4*? Do you have a back-up reservation? (if so where and how much)Based upon a quick look at prices the best 'deals' i could find:Monte Carlo for $101/niteIf you want less expensive (and a step down in quality) the Imperial Palace is available HERE for $69/nite.Do either of the above work for you? jshapa Posted March 23, 2005 Author Report Posted March 23, 2005 The highest so far has been $102.I am not sure what an average "good" rate is for a 4* in vegas. Basically I would be happy with a room around $130 a night, but would be willing to go to $150.Where is the Monte Carlo on the strip? Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it.
thereuare Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 Center Strip across from the Aladdin. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
jshapa Posted March 23, 2005 Author Report Posted March 23, 2005 I decided just to go w/ the MGM grand at $139 a night from their website. The rooms look nice and now I know I have something for sure.ThanksJennifer
thereuare Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 Hope you remembered, as per our SUPPORT PAGE, that this board is now an affiliate of the MGM GRAND.With that said, i think that the MONTE CARLO is a better property than the MGM (and in this instance, cheaper too). dahammer Posted March 24, 2005 Report Posted March 24, 2005 The Monte Carlo gets my vote too, the MGM Grand is so big, it is a five buck cab ride to get from one end to the other!! :) But if you end up at the MGM, you will have to check out Studio 54 nightclub, it was great! :)
