Priceline Hotel: Need help for Amsterdam 9/13-9/15

I've been trying to find a 4* in Amsterdam (Museum Quarter) for 9/13-9/15 with no success. Started bidding at $75 (I saw some wins at this price) and went up to $95, with no luck and no counter offers. Any suggestions? My max bid is $110.

I'm looking earlier - 8/31-9/3 - also 4*Museum. I need 2 rooms as we have 3 people. I bid $75 with no luck. Will rebid at $80 while still trying to find a nice room for 3 people through booking.com and hotwire.

If you can move to Central, we were successful on a 5* bid at $111 for the Kraznapolski.

Bluesparklet ---- you are unlucky with the dates you've chosen. Your visit coincides with the biggest conference of the year, taking place from 10th to 14th Sept. Amsterdam accommodation prices are always incredibly steep during this period.

Thanks for the insight, four leave clover. I was wondering if there was a special event taking place, but couldn't find anything on google. Guess that explains my lack of success on bids.
