Priceline Hotel: Need Help for 4* Paris, Oct 10-12

I chose the areas:

1. Paris (La Defense - Neuilly),

2. Paris (Champs Elysees - Opera Quarter West)

Must be 4* or higher.

I tried:

La Defense, 4stars, $90 failed

Champs Elysees, 4stars, $120 failed

Champs Elysees, 5stars, 130 failed

I saw the posts for Aug or Sep check in, most ppl can get deal for 4 stars Champs Elysees for around $110 - $120. But no one post for Oct.

Is it still too early to bid for Oct?

My budget is $100 - $130. Is it too low??

Please advise. Thanks.

It may just be early, but i'm guessing that at the moment rates are a little higher for this time of year then when you're seeing the ~$120 bids accepted.

What is the best rate you're able to find thru conventional booking channels?

I checked Hotels.com or Expedia, all 4 stars hotels at the same areas cost more than $220+.

Maybe I will wait little bit close to departure to book. Thanks for your advice.

If you decide to wait i'd recommend booking a fully refundable back-up which you find acceptable... this will protect you from any future rate increases should prices move higher from here instead of lower, or if 'opaque inventory' never materializes.
