jameske Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 I feel like a fool.....not really. I put in for a Wakiki Resort for $85 for 12/18 - 12/21/2010 for Beach Area Only. It came back and said we will allow you to bid again if you up your bid to $100. I did that and immediately got Marriott Waikiki Beach And Spa. I could have gotten it cheaper, but I'm not mad about $100 a night. Total $353.94. It would have cost me 646.16 at Marriott's web site.
Dman Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 You probably could have gotten it for $89-95 a day if you had used your free re-bids for prices lower than $100. But frankly, those prices are shockingly cheap for dates that extend into the Xmas holiday period. It's still a really good deal, even if you could have saved another $5-10 a night. Most hotel websites I've seen consider 12/18 the start of peak-season rates for 2010.
