Ok... I clicked on the HOTWIRE link and the price has actually gone down a bit! Do you think its the Crowne Plaza hotel or something else?

This does match previous reports for the Crowne Plaza so that would be my best guess for this one.

Got the Hilton for $73, which isn't bad. But the going rate is only $89, so its not an amazing deal either.

Just tried to book the Hilton for the same dates on the web and the list price has doubled from the time you bid. I also tried a $73 PL bid, but no luck now. I'll increase and let you know if I'm successful!

This bid is listed under the wrong dates in the new board feature "Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins"... It's listed under 9/18 but the original poster listed the dates for 8/18. This would make sense for why the rates have doubled since his winning. 9/18 is Openworld in SF.
