I tried bidding this area for March and was not successful. I have another "opportunity" to go to Wenatchee in May and won, but not at the original 3* as I had hoped

Bidding Date: 03/11/05 for Friday May 13, 2005 to Sunday, May 15, 2005

Bid $45 Wenatchee Area - 3* - REJECTED

Bid $47 Yakima Area - REJECTED (Free rebid because highest in Yakima is 2.5*)

Bid $49 Wenatchee Area - 2.5* ACCEPTED

La Quinta Inn & Suites Wenatchee

1905 N Wenatchee Ave

Wenatchee, WA 98801

Phone: (509)664-6565

Priceline lists this as a 2.5*, however TripAdvisor, Expedia, Orbitz, and lists it as a 2* hotel.

Total with Priceline fees/taxes = $114.84

Lowest rates found for the same time:

La Quinta website - $62.90

Expedia - $89.00 (hah! ridiculous. I have never found Expedia to be a great bargain) - $67.00

Orbitz - $64.75 - $64.00

Travelocity - $61.28 (plus $17 worth of fees = $140)

Not much of a savings, but 20 bucks is 20 bucks and just enough for a nice dinner.

I realize Wenatchee is not a popular destination but perhaps this information will help someone else in the future.

Not sure if it made much a difference in this bid, but for future bids it is usually recommended that IF YOU LOWER YOUR STAR QUALITY THEN LOWER YOUR BID.

I'm sure this information will help somebody down the road.. thanks again for adding it and helping out database of hotels won continue to grow!

Enjoy your stay.
