allen074 Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 ok need a hotel - i could do Kreuzberg for a 4* or Tiergarten - Kufuerstendamm for a 5*i like the swissotel on Expedia - it shows for:$110 for a no cancel Expedia special rateExpedia shows it as a 4*maybe i should just do that? its not refundable either thothank you!
WillTravel Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 Priceline says it's a 5*. You could try to undercut $110 on Priceline and risk getting another hotel (not a bad hotel, I'm sure, just not Swissotel). Like maybe start with a bid of $90.Do you have a specific reason for preferring the area of the Swissotel?
allen074 Posted March 11, 2005 Author Report Posted March 11, 2005 nope - my friends say its nice (im going to visit friends)so the swissotel is on priceline's list?the $109 on Expedia is one full or 2 twins
WillTravel Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 The Swissotel has come up before on Priceline. No way to say what's happening now for sure, of course. The one full bed or two twins is pretty typical. You could try creating a dummy vacation package for your Berlin dates. That *might* show the hotels you are likely to get when bidding. I know there are often exceptions.
allen074 Posted March 11, 2005 Author Report Posted March 11, 2005 ok no 5* showing - this is what shows for 4*4*Top Hotel Alsterhof BerlinMoevenpick Hotel Berlin Derag Hotel Grosser Kurfuerst Intercontinental Berlin 3*Top Concept Hotel Berlin Holiday Inn Garden Court Kurfurstendammthats all that shows

WillTravel Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 If you're happy, I think that's a good deal on Expedia.

thereuare Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 Thank you for asking. There is, but don't worry about it, as we don't like to promote it. It was added reluctantly at the request of users who had wanted it, but i'm still unsure of how comfortable i am with it as we wish to maintain the current 'atmosphere' of the board. We'd much prefer users continue to use the links on our SUPPORT page and our other prefered providers.
