Priceline Hotel: Berlin Bidding Assistance

ok need a hotel - i could do Kreuzberg for a 4* or Tiergarten - Kufuerstendamm for a 5*

i like the swissotel on Expedia - it shows for:

$110 for a no cancel Expedia special rate

Expedia shows it as a 4*

maybe i should just do that? its not refundable either tho

Priceline says it's a 5*.

You could try to undercut $110 on Priceline and risk getting another hotel (not a bad hotel, I'm sure, just not Swissotel). Like maybe start with a bid of $90.

Do you have a specific reason for preferring the area of the Swissotel?

The Swissotel has come up before on Priceline. No way to say what's happening now for sure, of course.

The one full bed or two twins is pretty typical.

You could try creating a dummy vacation package for your Berlin dates. That *might* show the hotels you are likely to get when bidding. I know there are often exceptions.

this hotel is SUPER high rated, customer reviews are excellent and the Expedia price is WAY less than the others including their web site

ok - finalized deal - signed up for 3 day travel card too - price was the same so i figured why not

$137.40 -- cheapest price i could find for this hotel room

$109.92 -- what i paid on Expedia

not bad :)

$19.17 a night tax!!!!!!!!!

ok now down to just paris and the 2 london stays :)
