bsf31392 Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 I am preparing to bid on a Dupont Circle 4 star w/ a pool and a 95% approval rate. Based on a thorough search of this forum, I am guessing this is the Palomar. There will be 3 people in my party and I denoted that during the search. If it is in fact the Palomar, they only allow triple occupancy in the Executive King or better. How can I be sure I don't end up with a room that is too small for our needs. This is through Hotwire, and they allow you to search based on occupancy. If I asked for a room for 2 adults and a child, I should not be required to pay an up-charge, should I? Could someone please advise? Thanks in advance!!!
dahammer Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 Welcome! Can you please post your dates of travel and the full list of amenities for this offering? If you search for triple occupancy, HOTWIRE guarantees accomodations for three. At the least, this could be a room with a double bed and a sofa bed/cot or a room with two doubles. Please use the HOTWIRE links on the board if you proceed. Good Luck!
bsf31392 Posted July 27, 2010 Author Report Posted July 27, 2010 Here is the listing I am speaking of:4* Dupont Circle/ Embassy Row $119 - 8/12-8/16Amenities: Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center and Hi-Speed InternetThis hotel enjoys a 95% approval rate with over 500 reviews. Overall satisfaction is 4.5/5. If I am correct in my assumption, and this is the Palomar, I will definitely follow the link to purchase and I will return and confirm my reservation here on the forum.
thereuare Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 The Palomar is a match for the above, but so is the Omni Shoreham, so either of these would be my best guess for this one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
bsf31392 Posted July 27, 2010 Author Report Posted July 27, 2010 It was the Palomar. I was automatically given a Queen/Queen because we are a party of 3. This a SUPER rate for this top ranked hotel. I am very excited and appreciate all your help!! We already had a room reserved that was an awesome rate of $145. We cancelled that and plan to use our savings to cover our parking!!Thanks!
AaronJB Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 Congrats on your success. :)Awesome deal, and glad to hear that the savings can go towards parking (and glad to hear that you were able to confirm 2 beds.)Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
