Priceline Hotel: 3* Orlando (Lake Buena Vista-Downtown Disney) Holiday Inn Sunspree

All--I should have known better and done more research--but like many on the board, I won the Holiday Inn Sunspree--and afterward read the horrible reviews. On Trip advisor, this hotel is in the lower half of all Orlando Hotels. Obviously PRICELINE quality control...is lacking.

However, if you bid $50 ($8 more), you get the top 5 ranked Radisson or the Embassy Suites. Look at the history--at least that is the current trend.

While this is $8 more, the Holiday Inn charges an $8 daily resort fee, the Embassy or Radisson do not.

So I could have netted at the same price and had (at least what reviews say) a much better hotel.

Shame on me for not realizing that prior to bidding.

Don't make the same mistake I did.

TravelPhotographer,

If you're not happy with the reported hotels in a given zone then choose a higher star level, a different zone, or simply don't use PRICELINE (and look at HOTWIRE, Travelocity or some other service) for this stay.

Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
