Priceline Hotel: 4* NYC (MTE) Grand Hyatt

I have a similar situation. I booked a 4* in NYC (MTE) and received a winning bid for the Grand Hyatt for $135 for July 4th. Good deal I thought until I realized I made a mistake. I was simultaneously looking to book two rooms for July 8th and accidentally asked for two rooms for July 4th by not paying attention when toggling back and forth between windows. I think I can get a friend to take the room but my question is this: the second room is under a friend's name visiting from Seattle and he won't be in town until July 8th so how do I got about changing the name on the second room or does it even matter as both rooms are on my card? Thanks

Welcome to BetterBidding, OudErnest.

I still don't understand your situation.

Do you have two separate Priceline reservations---one for two rooms at Grand Hyatt on 7/4 (one night) and another for two rooms at Grand Hyatt on 7/8? (one night)

Or do you have one reservation for two rooms from 7/4-7/8? (four nights)

(Once your travel dates are clarified a moderator will probably move your post to the New York board.)

I have a reservation for July 4th for two rooms both are under my credit card but the second name is under a friend who will be in Seattle on July 4th. A little background that I hope clarifies: I had two windows open for priceline as I was trying to book one room for me and my girlfriend for July 4th and two for July 8 and I toggled to the wrong window. I made a "one room" bid for July 4th thinking I was on the correct window but it wasn't. It happened to be the page I was using to try and win two rooms. So, now I'm stuck with two rooms for July 4th one of which I put in the name of the guy coming out to visit from Seattle on the 8th. I can most likely get a friend to use the other room but it's under a name of someone that won't be there. So in a nutshell: is there a way to change the name? Again, the rooms are both on my credit card. Thanks and sorry for the confusion and misplaced post (first time user).

Cheers

If you've already tried PRICELINE and they aren't able to help, your next best option is to call the hotel and see if they will add a name to the reservation (usually informing them that the person's name you want to add to the reservation will be arriving first and you'd like to have them be able to check-in without waiting for the person whose name the reservation is currently under).

Good luck and let us know how it goes.
