Dana26 Posted June 19, 2010 Report Posted June 19, 2010 Hi - I bid $40 yesterday but it was rejected. I bid again today for $45 (same area Dallas North Galleria) but got rejected again. However, this time I received the following message. If you are willing to raise your price by $10 to $55 per room, per night, you can try the same request again right now. Should I try $55 per night now? This is my first time bidding. Appreciate your advice here!!!!! Thank you!!!
AaronJB Posted June 19, 2010 Report Posted June 19, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)If you try $55, your bid will likely be accepted. You can try re-bidding (explained here: Priceline Re-Bidding Explained) in order to see if you can get a price above what you've bid up to, but below PRICELINE's counter-offer of $10 more. Please let us know if you have any questions before bidding.Thank you for using the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 When bidding 4* in the Dallas region you currently have TWELVE re-bid zones... see if you're able to determine them all using the techniques in the Priceline Re-Bidding Explained thread and/or ask question or confirmation.Have you tried bidding again yet? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
mbtucker51 Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 $55 for a 4* in the Galleria is a good deal. You will probably get the Le Meridian for that price. Not a bad hotel but a bit eclectic. I struggle with their 4* rating. If you are lucky it will be the Hyatt but usually they are more in the $65 range. Good luck
