Flight and Car Rental on Priceline

So I have been looking to book a flight from NYC to San Francisco for June 25th until June 27th. When I do a search for the flight, it tells me that I can get a flight and a car for a price that is cheaper than the flight by itself. This is great because I will need a car. When I put in all of my information and go to the summary page right before purchase, it says that my flight will depart on June 25th some time between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. It does not say that it is an overnight flight. However, for the car rental it says that my pickup is June 26th. It does not give me the option to change the date of pickup. I will need the car to leave the airport. I can't leave the airport and then find a way back to the airport to pick up the car. Why won't it give it to me on the date of arrival?

It also says "and you will arrive no later than 12:30 a.m. the next day." Based on the flights from NYC to San Fran, you might be on a CO flight from Newark to San Fran departing at 830pm arriving at 1155pm (nonstop). This would only give you 5 minutes left on June 25th so it moves it to June 26th.
