Colfax
Priceline has added a 5* bidding option in the Beverly Hills-West Hollywood zone. The only BH-WH 5* I can find in Priceline's "Shop and Compare" product is L'ermitage Beverly Hills, so I think that's what it is. Link to comment
ems
Has anyone tried bidding for this yet? I'm curious what people can get this hotel for, and what it is :)?E Link to comment
edana
I tried for a weekday (6/24/10) a few weeks prior, and up to $140 or $145, but couldn't get them to even counter offer. Gave up for now. Good luck.... Link to comment
HarperMAF
I don't see where anyone has posted a win, or even an attempt, except for the above...anyone have any ideas as to what the Hotel could be?Thanks! Link to comment
Colfax
One poster reported trying $125 for 5* and he didn't get anything. Link to comment
tzvika
I tried for $121 for 7/22, no bites, going to try again tonight Link to comment
ss_11
I tried 5/10-8/10 for $170 a night, but it still was not enough.. Guess you have to bid aprox. $200. Link to comment
Colfax
L'ermitage was the only 5* I saw in Priceline retail when 5* option first appeared. Some hotels use Priceline sparingly. Only on weekends, only during offseason, etc. The 5* bidding option will always appear even if the lone 5* hotel only gives Priceline inventory a few nights a year. 4* bidding came back to Santa Monica-Marina Del Rey zone over a year ago, and there's still no report of 4* success there, even during off season. Many have tried.Has anyone stayed at L'ermitage? Is it distinctive or a step up from the other 4* and something worth pursuing? Link to comment
nataliauk
Hi there On priceline.co.uk in the regular booking system there are a two other 5* showing in that area now- don't know if the two correlate with what's avaialble on NYOPSunset Tower 5* and Sofitel5* in the descripetion for sofitel it says:"Experience state-of-the-art amenities and unrivaled services in a modern and sophisticated atmosphere at this hotel, ideally situated on the trendy West Side, minutes from Beverly Hills and West Hollywood"so could be either of those as well Link to comment
Colfax
I just checked Priceline U.S. and Sofitel and Sunset Tower are still rated 4* here. I thought the various national Priceline versions used the same rating for the same hotel, but maybe not. Link to comment
