For the money, I'd rather stay in a nicer, higher rated hotel. I'm hoping to catch a Red Sox game and I figured it would be nice to be within walking distance to Fenway Park rather than taking the T. Someone suggested Copley Square. Would that work?

I would imagine that both the (Copley Square - Theatre District) and the (Quincy Market - Faneuil Hall - Financial) zones would work for your needs, as both are considered to be "downtown", but you should check the PRICELINE boundaries of both to confirm that these will work for your needs.

Let us know if both of these zones are acceptable, as well as your maximum bid and desired star leve, we'll then suggest a strategy for you to follow.

The Copley Square - Theatre District would work. Quincy Market - Faneuil Hall - Financial zone might work, but I don't think I can get anything in my price range. I'd prefer to pay around $100 before taxes, but could go up to $125. I can do any star level. Location is more important to me.

If you are willing to accept a hotel in this zone, then even if you believe over your budget, you can use this zone in a bidding strategy in order to gain additional bidding opportunities. So is it ok to include this zone in your bidding?

At what star rating would you like to start at? Do you want to bid up to $125 or only $100 before dropping a star level?

The Copley area is great for a walk to Fenway and most of the time your budget should get you a at least a 3.5* hotel. However, something is going on in the area this weekend (convention at Hynes Center?) and the Sheraton, Hilton and Westin are sold out. Marriott has rooms at $429.

Just thought you should know so you can consider other zones and not continually try to target Copley which could prove futile. Of course, you might win something in the theatre area of the zone.

Sorry for the potentially bad news. Good luck

Some food for thought if it's not too late! The Buckminster location wise is as good as you can get for a game at Fenway. It's rooms are smallish with a European flair but certainly adequate and right across the street from Fenway. If you are looking for something a bit more lavish...I found on HOTWIRE for that date a 3 star accomodation at Brookline-Harvard-Newton for only 69$. It appears that property is either Doubletree Cambridge or the Crowne Plaza-both fairly decent properties. You could probably bid those on PRICELINE(they are 3 1/2 *) for a steal. You could easily take the T-train from there or possible walk over the bridge from there(not from Boston maybe others would know how far it would be). Depends how good of shape and adventurous haha. Anyways for what its worth... Good luck! And go SOX! going up June 1st for a game.
