Priceline Hotel: 4* Boston (Quincy Market-Faneuil Hall-Financial) Omni Parker House

I reserved 2 rooms on PRICELINE at the Omni Parker House for 5/30/2010 for $100 per room plus fees. I would like to add one night to one room. The hotel has referred me to priceline and the priceline policy states that to extend a stay both rooms must be extended. Do I have any recourse? Would it help/matter to speak with the hotel manager? I'm not to keen on getting another hotel for one night but will if I have to.

Bid $70 for waterfront 4* hoping to get lucky...denied. upped it by $5 increments to $85 using dead zones. Decided to not press my luck and added Quincy Market/Financial district zone and raised bid to $100, won Parker House.

Very concerned about room size as it's 2 adults, an infant and 3 year old in one room. Spoke with Hotel and they explained that some of their single bed rooms are large enough for crib and cot but some are not. They will not/cannot reserve the larger rooms but if we get there and none are available they can offer a 2 bed room for a $50 upcharge.

Also asked them about extending my stay by 1 day for 1 of the 2 rooms and they referred me to Priceline. Added another post regarding this situation....

Welcome to BetterBidding and congratulations on your success!

Thank you for sharing your result with the board!

Have in mind when bidding that PRICELINE only guarantee a room for 2 adults so that could mean one bed. But we hope everything will work out for you.

Enjoy your stay.

So you have already called the hotel and asked? If they said no when you called is this most likely a policy that comes from the manager. But try to call the manager. You can only get a no. But i doubt that you will have any luck.

Let us know.

Slightly off topic, but in the vein of "it never hurts to ask." I was able to change the dates for 3 Priceline Name-Your-Own-Price rooms at the Westin DTW Airport when a meeting was moved forward by a week. I called the hotel and asked for reservations at the hotel (otherwise they will patch you through to the central reservations 800 number) and the young woman accepted the change without question. I was worried right up until check in that it really would not work, but it did.

So, in spite of the published rules, it never hurts to ask! :)

There's no way to do this through Priceline. The Add a Night link, when it works, adds nights to all rooms on the original reservation.

I don't know who you spoke with at the hotel, but if it wasn't the manager then try the manager. S/he is probably the only one with the authority to make the change you want.

It seems you're operating under the assumption that additional nights are available at $100, which might or might not be true. Priceline always displays the "Extend Your Stay" link, whether the nights are available or not. Even if you were willling to add a night to both rooms your Add a Night request could be rejected. Or the second night could be available, but at a higher rate than $100.

But like spainflyer says, it never hurts to ask. Good luck!

Thank you all for your responses. I have spoken to the hotel directly (prior to original post) but planned on speaking with the manager today. I'll post the results.

Talked to the Hotel Manager. Nice enough guy but no go. Said he had no idea what I paid through priceline and besides that had no rooms available through the hotel on Saturday 5/29. Advised me to try through Priceline again with the same bidding parameters as Priceline buys rooms in bulk and there may be room available through them.
