Used the link and re-used to after each set of failed bids. Ended up winning the Radisson for preakness weeked at $58, 140 and change after taxes/fees for 2 days. Not my favorite 3 star in the area, but it worked just fine. I also bid up to 70 on a 4 star w/o sucess. Thanks guys.

Just curious how you like/disliked the hotel. I just won this hotel in this priceline bid.

Did you park there? How was the walk to the harbor?

Thanks

Valet parking is $31 a day with unlimited in/out. They direct you to a "hotel lot" across the street which is $15/day unlimited in/out. However, there is a lot even closer that is only $12 a day. Though, having stayed here before, if you have any type of a problem, they are pretty quick to comp the hotel parking, some people will even complain about things that aren't real (I don't support that) just to get the free hotel parking.

The hotel is absolutely nothing special, the lobby is nice and classic and the food menu is pretty bad, but reasonably priced. The hotel rooms are adequate size with sleep number beds. The rooms have old crt tube tvs and nothing especially luxury abuot them, but they are more than adequate. The bathrooms are a good size for a hotel. The room service and service in general is ok. If you are going on a busy weekend call in advance to confirm the beds you will receive (king, queen or 2 doubles).

The location is just ok, you are just two blocks from some pretty shifty areas as you head north or west. However, where the hotel is just fine (but if you use public transportation always enter and board to the south of the hotel). The walk to the inner harbor isn't bad, maybe 4-5 blocks all of which are safe, less then ten minutes. It is slightly closer to the stadium area. And the inner harbor is next to little italy, and just past that is the hipsterish felles point, the good parts of the city are very easy to walk.

Just wanted to say thanks for the info, I agree with just about everything you said. The hotel is nothing special, but the rooms were clean and pretty large, so that was nice. We just used the hotel parking lot and $15 is cheap compared to lots of other places we go.

The walk to the inner harbor wasn't bad, we stayed to the main streets and even on the way back around 11 we felt safe.

The only complaint that I have, we had two rooms and we asked for one room with two beds. Well they said that it was a $20 upgrade charge, and reluctantly I agreed, but then when he went to book the second room they didn't have any Kings left, so we would get a queen. Well it ended up that both rooms had two beds, so I pretty much paid $20 extra for nothing. Just watch out for this in the future for anyone else.
