  2. I'm very happy to get this hotel at that price. According to other sites, the place is going for over $300/night. It showed up as a 3.5 star hotel, looks like it used to be listed as 4 star. Booked through the better bidding hw link. Details were listed as:   Complimentary Free Internet Amenities Boutique hotel Business center Fitness center Oceanfront hotel Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Smoke-free rooms   80% Hotwire reviews recommended   Tripadviso
  3. I was thinking it was between Harrah's and the Taj Mahal, and I got Harrahs. Not a huge savings since the rate directly through them was $183. Listed as : 75% recommended (573 reviews from people like you)Tripadvisor 3.5 out of 5.0Amenities : Casino, Indoor Pool, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Internet Access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services
  4. The original list was a copy and paste before I paid, but yes it does include a roll-in shower when I look at the full list now. But I'm sure that wasn't listed when I was reviewing the options. Here is the See All section Pool(s) Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal. Restaurant(s) Property offers at least one restaurant on the premises; hours and days of operation may vary. Whereas the Hyatt had around 600 reviews, so I was happy to have eithe
  6. UPDATE : My Aunt and Uncle showed up at the hotel and they were told the reservation was cancelled by Travelocity. I called Travelocity. and they claimed that the credit card approval didn't go through, so they cancelled the reservation. The problem with that is, I got an onscreen confirmation number and also got a confirmation email saying everything was approved. AND I NEVER got any email or phone call that it was cancelled. I will never use Travelocity again.
  7. Bidding for a family member, had to break up their stay. Got the first night with this Priceline hotel win They wanted around TS, so in the end tried TS, MSG, MTW, MTE, CPS, HK 4* up to $200 3.5* up to $200 3* up to $200 2.5* up to $185 Nothing accepted Then I happened to search Travelocity and saw a Top Secret Hotel deal for Manhattan:Midtown (which is actually a pretty big area) It says 3.5 star, but only shows 3 blue stars in their icon and 4 smile faces for traveler reviews. Hotel Amenities were listed as Non-smoking. Price was $203 per night. Booked this and it was YOTEL New York at Tim
  8. Got this for a family member, they needed a hotel near DCA. I saw a 3.5 star on hotwire for $89 for the night, so went to priceline and bid $70. Got this hotel on the first bid.
  9. Forgot to post this earlier. Got this for a family member. Started with 4* and eventually moved down to 3.5 star and got the Sheraton Baltimore City Center Hotel for $80. They said the hotel was very nice, not the closest to the inner harbor but not too far of a walk.
  10. Been bidding a few times over the last week and haven't seen much. Finally got something last night (8/5) Was looking for 8/6 - 8/9 Started with 4* tried all of central Manhattan (MSG,TS,MTW,MTW,CPS,HK,ESB) up to $170 Lowered to 3.5* up to $175 Lowered to 3* up to $175 Lowered to 2.5* up to $175 Decided to try and split it up. So finally got the 3* for $170 after exhausting the higher levels up to $190 in most of central Manhattan. Still looking for 8/7-8/9, but I'll start another thread.
  11. Details were: White House - Downtown Area 3 star Rated 8.0 out of 10 (or higher) This Hotel has: Pets Allowed | Restaurant | Business Center
  12. Used the Betterbidding PRICELINE link. Bids : 1. 4* DC : White House - Downtown : $90 2. 3.5* DC : White House - Downtown : $90 3. 3* DC : White House - Downtown : $90 Nothing got accepted but they had a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for $116/night 3* in White House - Downtown. I'm booking this for someone else and they were ok with this price. It ended up being the Donovan House. Just a note, I searched Hotwire and it showed a similar 3* White House - Downtown hotel for $146/night. So I'm happy with the room that was booked.
  13. Just wanted to share this before your trip Hotel Review Liaisaon Capitol Hill
  14. So we just stayed here and I have to say it was a really nice hotel and the staff was very friendly. I read a few of the reviews and tips on Tripadvisor, so I had a few ideas of what to expect. Here are my own observations. Liasion Hotel - Nice rooms, clean and decent size (ours had two beds each). - Flat screen TV, desk with chair, coffee maker (no fridge in our rooms, but I think you can request it), and $4 bottle of water - Pay for wifi access available, but there is a business center that had free PCs and printer, but it was small and always had people there. - Nice lobby area, with bar
  15. The hotel is nothing special, but the rooms were clean and pretty large, so that was nice. There is a coffee maker in the room, but no fridge (at least in the two we had). The walk to the inner harbor wasn't bad, we stayed to the main streets and even on the way back around 11 we felt alright. There is a little coffee shop (drinks, pastries, etc) and a little convenience store (snacks, drinks, toiletries) in the lower lobby area. The only complaint that I have, we had two rooms and we asked for one room with two beds. Well they said that it was a $20 upgrade charge, and reluctantly I agreed,
