Does anyone know what a Hotwire 3* Japantown - Civic Center North area hotel with only amenity "Boutique" at $79 per night might be?

Thanks!

Hi,

Could anyone help me identify a 3.5 star N. SFO Intl Airport - Oyster Point area hotel on Hotwire with the following amenities:

Shuttle

Breakfast

Pool

Restaurant

Internet

Kitchenette

It is $69 per night for May 19-22.

Also, I am not going to the airport, but I am trying to plan an inexpensive stay in San Francisco, so I thought it might be cheaper to stay by the airport. Does anyone have an opinion on that idea? Would parking be cheaper just driving into San Francisco for the day? Is it difficult to drive into San Francisco from the airport?

Thank you!

Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread.

For the Japantown property...

A property with just a solo Boutique icon has not yet been reported to the board, but...

If you change your search to 2adults/2children a 'new' 3* hotel appears in this zone for the same $74 price with:

Boutique, Complimentary Breakfast, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business

Given the same price and details, i'll speculate that this is the same property but with some amenities 'hidden' on the 2adult only search. If you're interested in this property it would be better to purchase as 2adults/2children since this is the 'stronger' match for this property.

For the Airport North property:

The above matches previous reports for the Embassy Suites so that would be my best guess for that one.

The Japantown-Civic Center 3* looks like a match for Hotel Cova, which some people would say is in the Tenderloin. At $79 this probably isn't the best value available.

You chose one hotel at the airport and one hotel downtown. What are you looking for in this hotel stay? Location? Price? Is one bed enough?

Dug around and found two interesting, very different options.

Hotels.com had the Alexis Park Inn on Polk St. for $59 a night with free parking. TA reviews all say area is dodgy - I agree - but rooms are nice and hotel is a great value.

TravelTicker has the Villa Florence available for $88 a night during that time. Looks really nice, very central location, but parking would be a challenge. Very good rate for that time period.

Hotels.com also has plenty of stuff on Lombard Street for fairly reasonable prices, some have sketch reviews so choose carefully.

Embassy Suites is always a good deal if you get a good price and don't mind staying outside the city. Let us know what transpires....

The 2* looks like a probable match for CitiGarden Hotel.

You've got another thread going for these dates and a moderator will merge the two. I'm quoting something you wrote in that other thread here:

Also, I am not going to the airport, but I am trying to plan an inexpensive stay in San Francisco, so I thought it might be cheaper to stay by the airport. Does anyone have an opinion on that idea? Would parking be cheaper just driving into San Francisco for the day? Is it difficult to drive into San Francisco from the airport?

You'll get cheaper parking at the airport than downtown, maybe free parking, but if you drive to downtown every day you'll pay to park anyhow every place you go. Those day parking charges might not add up to the $40 or $50 some downtown hotels charge to park now, but you'll still be paying to park downtown....or you'll pay for BART tickets.

Is Downtown where you'd prefer to stay, if you can find something in budget? If so what's your budget, parking included?
