Hi,

I see a few posts in this area and looks like the Hampton Inn/Fishkill is likely at 2.5*. Any thoughts?

Hotwire has a 2.5* in Fishkill (with breakfast) for $59/night? Any chance to do better with Priceline?

its best to list all of the amenities that are associated with this $59 rate, this increases your chances of identifying the hotel. When bidding on PRICELINE though, you could end up with another hotel entirely. The decision to bid is how much you value getting a hotel that has been identified through HOTWIRE or saving a few bucks and rolling the dice with PRICELINE. Please use the links on the board for your searches and purchases.

What would be a Priceline stategy if I wanted to stay <$50?

If I tried 3* at $45, would I have the option to bid again and go $49?

Then if that didn't hit, use the same strategy for 3.5*?

There are no 3.5* hotels in this area, so you wouldn't be able to bid for a 3.5* rated property in this region.

Well, I should have taken the HOTWIRE $59/night 2.5* in Fishkill (w/breakfast).

I started at 3* Fishkill at $43,reject

added Poughkeepsie, $53 reject.

Closed browser and used the PRICELINE link

bid $43 for 2.5* Fishkill, reject

added Pough, $53, reject.

Closed browser and used the PRICELINE link

bid $63 for 3* Fishkill, reject

added Pough, $66, reject

added 2.5*, $63, accepted
