Hotwire Hotel: Help ID 4* Hotel in San Diego from 7/26-7/29

It's a 4 star hotel for $109 a night. The amenities say guest rooms are always smoke-free, guests have access to exercise equipment though an additional charge may apply. The hotel offers at least one pool area and it offers at least one restaurant. There is a business center and guestrooms are equipped with high-speed internet access and an extra charge may apply. It also says it has 300+ reviews and overall satisfaction is 4.5.

I have never used hotwire before and I would just like to know which hotel I am getting because distance from the san diego convention center is EXTREMELY important - I would like to be across the street from it.

Any guesses would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Oh sorry. Yes it says Gaslamp Quarter - Convention Center area hotel. There is one for $109 and one for $116. I was hoping it was the hard rock hotel but I realize the chances of that are fairly slim.

I'm seeing a 4* hotel in this zone with these amenities, but it differs from your description above in that it has 100+ reviews... can you please confirm what you're currently seeing on your own HOTWIRE search?

Yes the first one is for $109 a night and it says all guest rooms at this hotel are smoke-free, guests have access to exercise equipment (additional charge may apply), it has at least one pool, it has at least one restaurant, guests have access to business equipment and services (additional charge may apply), and guest rooms are equipped with high-speed internet access (extra charge may apply). It's in the gaslamp quarter - convention center, it's a 4-star hotel. It says it is recommended in 80% of customer reviews, 300+ total reviews, overall satisfaction 4.5. This is the one I was hoping was hard rock.

Now the one for $116 has all the same amenities as above, BUT it is a 5 star and it only has 200+ total reviews, recommended by 85% of customers with overall satisfaction of 4.5.

That is what I am seeing currently on Hotwire.

The 4* matches multiple properties... the Hilton Bayfront, Omni, Westin Gaslamp, Solamar and Hilton Gaslamp ahave all been reported with this amenity combination before. Of these the Omni seems the least likely, but can't guess which of the others is most likely. The 'problem' with this listing is that HOTWIRE shows a 3.5/5.0 Tripadvisor rating for this offering, but none of the above are currently showing a 3.5 rating... HOTWIRE's TA information is not updated in realtime and just a snapshot at one point in time, so i'm guessing that the TA rating has been lowered based upon current reviews, but HOTWIRE has not updated their system since the last 'snapshot'.

For the 5* property, it does not show a Pool icon as the other one does, correct? If so, this is a match for the US Grant so that would be my best guess for that one.
