We are thinking of planning a mini-vacation to San Diego/Carlsbad area from 6/21-6/25. Looking at staying for 2 nights in San Diego and 2 nights in Carlsbad since we'll be taking the young ones to Legoland. I was hoping to get a 2.5* or better for under $80. Is this possible for this time of year or no? I can get the resorts in Phoenix for $65 a night during the summer, but I am not familiar with San Diego.

I don't promise, but that sounds realistic. We'll find out when you bid.

When your plans solidify let us know and we'll look a little deeper.

Well I was impatient so I started the bidding last night and got a good deal I think. Used the PRICELINE link above of course. :)

6/21-6/23 Holiday Inn Oceanside Marina for $75 a night.

6/23-6/25 Holiday Inn On the Bay for $65 a night.

Both hotels seem to get pretty decent reviews, and although I was hoping for coastal in San Diego I think my price point was a little low for that.

Will do, thanks. Just wanted to add that I called the hotel to request 2 double beds and they were very helpful. They asked for all of my information (since they don't recieve it through priceline) so that they wouldn't need to do so at time of check in and sent me an email confirmation from the hotel.
