Priceline Hotel: Bidding help: What price for 4* in Downtown 5/15-20?

I expected the price to be around $100 as my friends got it at $90 a month ago but now I can't get it even at $110.

Just wondering: 1) Any big conference there during that weekend?

2) Should I wait until the last min?

or 3) Is my stay too long?

Thanks!

A 5 or 6 night stay is not terribly long. But you need to check the rack rates for hotels to see if prices are especially high during that time. You should also check the San Francisco Convention website to see if there are any big groups expected at that time. I don't know the exact web address, but if you do a search for it, you will find it. Try searching conventions and tourism for SF. Also check HW to see if they have much available. If they don't have much, PL might not have that much, either. Let us know what happens.

05.15.10 - 05.19.10 Annual - 2010

American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists

Saturday, 5/15/2010 through Wednesday, 5/19/2010

Attendance: 11000

Peak Rooms: 5000

See 5000 rooms..... Guess the price will be close to 150-200 bucks in downtown SF 4* . Will let you guys know what I get finally.

5000 rooms isn't an especially large convention for SF. The SF Hilton has over 1900 rooms by itself.

I can't tell if you're asking for bid assistance or trying to do this on your own. Either is fine but if you want help you'll need to give more info, like 1) the names of the zones where you've already bid to $110 and 2) Hotwire's 4* rates in your acceptable zones.

Good luck!
