Colfax
Priceline said said $13 had "small chance" of acceptance but I bid $13 anyhow and it was accepted by National.Hotwire's compact was $17.95.Best conventional rate was $24/day, also from National. Bid placed through the BetterBidding PRICELINE link. Link to comment

Colfax
I've had this exact experience with National and Alamo before. They say "Go out to the lot and choose any car you want in the Compact section". I walk out and there's four Chevy Cobalts. One thing you can count on...Alamo and National never run out of Chevy Cobalts.I chose the one with only 500 miles and thought it was peppier than other rental Cobalts I've known. Maybe they're getting better? Link to comment
