I've had this exact experience with National and Alamo before. They say "Go out to the lot and choose any car you want in the Compact section". I walk out and there's four Chevy Cobalts.

One thing you can count on...Alamo and National never run out of Chevy Cobalts.

I chose the one with only 500 miles and thought it was peppier than other rental Cobalts I've known. Maybe they're getting better?
