Priceline Hotel: 4* San Diego (Coastal) Hyatt Regency La Jolla

The hotels being won for 4* Coastal in the month of April seemed to be either the Hilton Bay Resort or Hyatt Regency La Jolla. I did not want to stay at the Hilton Bay,,have stayed there and it is not pretty. My belief is still and has been for awhile that one can get a "better" hotel by bidding a higher price, or at least not bidding the price where the undesirable hotel has been won. Hilton has been won many times at $70.00; Hyatt at $75.00; my strategy, bid from $55.00 in $5.00 increments through $65.00, then bid $71.00 (to bypass the Hilton's price) then $75.00 which is the price the Hyatt has been won at in April. Bingo...got the Hyatt at $75.00. WARNING! This may have been just luck, so do not follow my strategy unless you can handle disappointment.
