Priceline Hotel: Bidding Help - Jun 10-13, NMA 3.5* or 4*

Have been trying to bid 3.5* in NMA for the weekend of June 10. Bid up to $58 and no luck.

Am I missing something? Is there a major convention or special event going on?

$58 for a 4* is generally around the floor discounted rates during slower periods. For a weekend in June, rates are going to be higher than they have been in recent weeks. Blues Festival is also taking place during this set of dates, and that drives a good deal of traffic. Regular rates are definitely on the high side for these dates and unfortunately, a PRICELINE win is going to take a higher bid. What would be your desired max budget per night for hotel?

I tried again, sticking with 3.5* in the NMA area, went all the way up to $80 and no luck. Will try again for the same weekend or the following weekend later.

You would likely have better luck for 6/17-20, as prices appear more reasonable.
