  1. I noticed there was a 4* option showing up in PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals in Downtown Boston - Harbor Front Area for quite a bit cheaper than options in Back Bay-Copley or Boston Common. Then I realized Omni Parker House is located right at the boarder of the Downtown zone and Boston Common zones. I changed tactic to only bid the two weekend nights and added Downtown to the mix. Started from $110 using free rebids, and ended up with $130. Omni Parker House Check-in:Fri, May 6, 2016 - After 03:00 PM Check-out:Sun, May 8, 2016 - 12:00 PM Offer price: $130.00/night Number of rooms: 1 room Number of nights: 2 nights Room subtotal: $260.00 Taxes & fees: $48.68 Total charged: $308.68 Savings: You saved 33%* A slight saving. Listed price is going for $194 and PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal is going for $138. I guess Omni Parker flips between both those two zones. Now just need to land something for the Thursday night (now going for $234). Used the PRICELINE link all along.
  2. Tried further on April 17, bid from $130 to $160, no luck. I would ideally like to limit my bid to about $160. I see that there are successful bids around ~$140 on the few days after, but I also know that the Thursday night in my dates is keeping the average price high. I may just bid the Friday/Saturday in hope of scoring a good deal, and then pay stiffer price for Thursday... I have booked a backup plan of some sort.
  3. Just reporting failed bids. The dates is still pretty far out so will keep trying and report further. On April 15, bid from $120 up to $150, no luck On March 31, bid from $120 up to $140, no luck On March 28, bid from $120 up to $150, no luck Of course, any suggestions welcome. Used and will continue to use betterbidding PRICELINE link.
  4. Started from $90, bid up $5 or $6 per free re-bid. Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre 1088 Burrard Street, Vancouver, BC V6Z 2R9 | 604-331-1000 Check-In: Sat, Nov 24, 2012 / After 03:00 PM Check-Out: Mon, Nov 26, 2012 / 12:00 PM Summary of Charges Offer Price: avg. per room, per night US$111.00 Rooms: 1 Nights: 2 Room Subtotal: US$222.00 Taxes & Fees: US$44.06 Total Charged to Card: US$266.06
  5. Hi there. Thanks for posting your successful bid. Now that priceline splits the city to two zones, I was wondering which zone did you get the Sheraton Libertador for. (The hotel is located in the overlapping area of the two zones.) Cheers.
  6. I know Bayshore would have been about $20 cheaper, but I thought I'd end up spending more than that on cab rides, so I opted to only bid the Granville zone and avoided the downtown zone. Started bidding at $88, was offered back $107 (obviously did not take it), inched up $5 to $93 with a free zone, and landed @ Wall Centre. Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Granville Entertainment District Check-In: Sat, Jan 21, 2012 / After 03:00 PM Check-Out: Sun, Jan 22, 2012 / 12:00 PM Rooms: 1 room / 1 night Offer Price: avg. per room, per night US$93.00 Rooms: 1 Nights: 1 + Add nights for the same rate! Room Subtotal: US$93.00 Taxes & Fees: US$22.39 Total Charged to Card: US$115.39
  7. Bidded last week from $95 up to $115 and then stopped. Today, started bidding 4* at $100+6 for Granville Entertainment District (hoping for the Sheraton Wall Centre) and was rejected. Tried again at $105+6 adding Downtown (hoping for the Hyatt), and was given the Westin Bayshore. It is not ideal as it is really out of the way (I rely heavily on transit while I am in Vancouver). It is a really nice hotel but convenience is more important than swank for me. I used priceline for Vancouver quite a few times before and always knew this may happen. Alas. Good deal nonetheless. Check-In: Fri, Sep 9, 2011 / After 04:00 PM Check-Out: Sun, Sep 11, 2011 / 12:00 PM Rooms: 1 room / 2 nights Bonus Cash: Per Room, Per Night US$12.00 Offer Price: avg. per room, per night US$105.00 Rooms: 1 Nights: 2 Room Subtotal: US$210.00 Taxes & Fees: US$43.48 Total Charged to Card: US$253.48
  8. After reading through various postings, I went in bidding $70 pretty confident I will land on one of the three usual suspects in Coal Harbour (Renaissance or Marriott Pinnacle, both I like very much, or Westin Bayshore which is nice but really out of the way). To my surprise, my bid was not accepted. I keep adding free rebid zones and did not have any luck until I get to $85 (I was counteroffered $90 after the first try). Hyatt is fine too, in fact closer to everything, though I got it for $76 back in the summer... Hyatt Regency Vancouver Downtown Vancouver Check-In Date:Fri, Jan 28, 2011 / After 04:00 PM Check-Out Date:Mon, Jan 31, 2011 / 12:00 PM Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: US$85.00 Subtotal: US$255.00 Taxes & Fees: US$49.53 Total Charges: US$304.53
  9. We are looking for two rooms for eleven night, so I split the bidding into two pieces. I was being lazy so I went right in at $50 and got it at first bid. I suppose I could have tried lower, still a pretty good deal... I then successfully extended the trip with the same rate. Check-In Date: Thursday, December 16, 2010 Check-Out Date: Wednesday, December 22, 2010 Number of Rooms: 2 Number of Nights: 6 Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: US$50.00 Subtotal: US$600.00 Taxes and Fees: US$138.96 Total Charges for Original Reservation: US$738.96 Check-In Date: Wednesday, December 22, 2010 Check-Out Date: Monday, December 27, 2010 Number of Rooms: 2 Number of Nights: 5 Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: US$50.00 Subtotal: US$500.00 Taxes and Fees: US$116.90 Total Charges for Add. Nights Res.: US$616.90 And yes, we did use the PRICELINE link on the top...
  10. Your Offer Price: $76.00 (US dollars) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $152.00 (US dollars) Taxes and Fees: $31.82 (US dollars) Total Charges: $183.82 (US dollars) And yes I did use the PRICELINE link on the upper right.
  11. Saw the successful bids with Westin (in River North) so that's what I was hoping for, but figure I can deal with the Loop as well. Tried various bid combination/free rebids, started from $85 and did not get accepted until $115. Neither great location nor a very good price, but acceptable I suppose. Anyway I am pretty sure I used the link (unless I close the window and then reopen or something, but I am pretty sure the successful bid was in a window opened by the PRICELINE link)...
  12. That is quite a good deal. I have been bidding on 10/6-13/6 (so tag on the Saturday) for 4* in NMA, all the way up to $100 and no luck.
  13. I tried again, sticking with 3.5* in the NMA area, went all the way up to $80 and no luck. Will try again for the same weekend or the following weekend later.
  14. We came back from our trip and I must say Hilton worked out really great.
  15. Have been trying to bid 3.5* in NMA for the weekend of June 10. Bid up to $58 and no luck. Am I missing something? Is there a major convention or special event going on?
