Priceline Hotel: 3* Trumbull-Milford (Stratford-Milford) Hilton Garden Inn Milford

FIrst bid of $50 accepted. with tax and fees it was about $63

THe median hotel price listed was $109

THe hotels advertising at $109 that Priceline usually uses were THe Hyatt, and The HIlton Garden INN.

Haven't seen any wins for the Residence Inn, Milford lately so I didn't include that Hotel in my list of possible wins.

I woke up at 11:30 am and wanted to extend my stay at the Hyatt; I attempted to use the extend the stay option but I was rejected with a message saying it was passed 11:00 am.

I knew it was a long shot but I was hoping to get the Hyatt even though I was bidding after 11:00; It was 11:50 am when I bid. THe only reason I did not bid lower which is usually accepted by the HIlton Garden Inn (between $35-$45) was because I was hoping to get the Hyatt. Apparently that backfired since I got the HIlton Garden Inn anyway. I only had to drive across the street though so, not too bad. Hotel is located in front of Lowes; across the street from the Hyatt on one end and Toys R us on the other.

Don't ge me wrong; I like staying at the Hilton Garden Inn;, I was just hoping not to have to move and I Just like the free breakfast and hot tub better at the HYatt. I guess the Hyatt is only offering rooms M-thur for now...

My daughter loves the pool here though since it goes from 3 feet to 5 feet. THe water is heated but not as hot as a hot tub. THis Hilton does not have a hot tub or jacuzzi next to the pool like some others do. Breakfast is $10/adult and $5/child but includes eggs, french toast, hot cereal, fresh fruit, along with the other items usually offered for breakfast.

I do like that we had a choice between one king bed or two double beds. My young daughter loves having her own bed!! They also have a microwave in the room along with room service after 5:00 pm.
