Was trying for something near airport - this is 6.2 miles. Also has parking fee of $20 extra. Total is $40 + $11.86 service fee and tax. Accepted on first bid Regular "senior" price is shown as $110. Thought last time we were able to specify airport which is not now available so took a chance.

Downtown Oakland and Oakland Airport used to be separate PRICELINE zones. Priceline merged them into one large Oakland zone a couple years ago. Now more often than not people who want to stay near OAK airport win a hotel in downtown Oakland. And people who want to stay Downtown win a hotel near the airport. :)

HOTWIRE still divides Oakland into two zones: Oakland-Alameda and Oakland Airport.
