Colfax
I've never seen a 17-story La Quinta before but here's one, almost across the street from the Crowne Plaza where I stayed the night before.La Quinta Inn & Suites--Bloomington West5151 American Blvd WestBloomington MN 55437$35 for 2.5* brought $9 counteroffer. I added a free rebid at $39 for the win.$102 at LQ.com. Link to comment
thereuare
Thanks for the post.I assume this buidling wasn't built by LQ and they likely took it over from another chain (or converted a building which was designed for some other use).Looks like a great deal... hope you enjoyed the stay (and the view?) Jason's Storm
It use to be the Clarion Airport. It also is the better of the two La Quinta's. The other LQ use to be a Baymont. So if LQ says its the suites, then its the old Clarion.~JS Jason's Storm- Making one killer deal after another. With something other than a machete to the head. Colfax
Yeah, the Clarion! Thanks, Jason's Storm. I think it was probably another brand before Clarion, as newly built hotels don't usually open under the Clarion name. Does anyone know what it was before Clarion?I drove past the other La Quinta in the zone, at 494 & Nicollet, and it looked sort of rundown, at least from the outside. The 2.5* Suites La Quinta where I stayed were pretty good. The room was fresh and I had a nice view on 8th floor with sliding glass door and a small balcony. Link to comment
Jason's Storm
Yea if you think it looks bad on the outside, look at the reviews on tripadvisor.~JS Jason's Storm- Making one killer deal after another.
