billyblaze
Last minute bid for a Saturday night. Bid $70 for a 4* no luck. Stuck with downtown area & added 3* & got the Crown Plaza for $60.00. Link to comment
billyblaze
Just an update: Had a fine stay at the Hotel. The tripadvisor reviews are quite scary but I did not have any problems. Front Desk honored my request for two beds. Got a renovated room on the 21st floor. No mention of Priceline, just that the charges were "prepaid". In fact, the charges appeared on my bill so I can tell you priceline paid $59.00 & change for the room including hotel taxes & fees. I paid $75.00 & change with all priceline fees. Assuming priceline makes at least a few dollars per sale, I assume you can get the room with a lower bid, but not much lower. Parking is now $31.00 a day with in & out rights. You can save a few dollars parking at the lot next door at 1700 Market street. We paid $23.00 from 4pm Saturday-11AM Sunday. Midtown 111 (three) restaurant has a great inexpensive breakfast. Have no fear bidding 3 star in this zone as the Crown Plaza is fine. Link to comment
dahammer
thanks for your post, glad that you had a nice stay, this property gets lots of poor reviews for the condition of the rooms and the indifferent staff. Check out the Philadelphia Parking Authority website for a list of parking lots and rates near your location. Link to comment
