Hotwire Hotel: need help w 3* London (The City-Fin. District) for $102 in June

On Priceline, there's a 3* London (The City-Financial District) for $102 from 5/28 to 6/3

Amenities: Complimentary Breakfast

Hi, I just looked again at your dates, and I didn't see that hotel. Is it still there for you? I do see one with a restaurant that is more expensive.

Thanks for responding. I checked and it's still there. It is a room for 2 people--don't know if that makes a difference.

A hotel with the above has not yet been reported and i can't research it any further since i haven't been able to get this hotel to appear myself when searching for your dates.

Thanks for trying. I just figured out why it probably isn't showing up--I had our check-in date in the posting wrong, it's 5/29, not 5/28 (we leave 5/28 but don't get there until 5/29). So sorry about that.

No, I knew you were talking about Hotwire, so that's not the problem!

But the only remotely similar place I see, for two people, for 5/28-6/03, is 3*-restaurant icon-$132. I've now looked several times, so I'm quite puzzled. Are you sure the place is in the City-Financial District?

Perhaps it's the problem with the starting date. It is 5/29, not 5/28 (my initial post was wrong). I think the only thing I've gotten right is that it is indeed in the Financial District.

This is just a guess - but possibly the Express by Holiday Inn Southwark. Note that the Hotwire zone extends over the river.

Another possibility is that this hotel may be the new Sleep Inn, due to open in March 2007. It's a similar format to a Holiday Inn Express, with a free continental breakfast, which would explain the icon shown. I'm inclined towards this because I'm trying to book a one night stay on 21st April 2007, which clashes with the London Marathon! This hotel pops up on my search and I think it's unlikely that the HI Express would be selling this at a discount. The Sleep Inn however has little or no presence yet and may be happy just to get some rooms filled!
