  1. Used the BiddingHelper.com and Hotwire Easyview. There was an offer for an extra $15 discount. FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Free Internet, Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower Ended up with the Holiday Inn Forest Park, MO. 80% Recommended
  2. 4 Star Rome Termini Station Area; Oct 9, 2016 to Oct 11, 2016. Best Western Hotel Villafranca (According to Trip Advisor it is no longer a Best Western). Trip Advisor 3.5 out of 5. Hotwire customer reviews 90% recommended (25 total reviews) FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Self-service laundry, Internet access From what I can see, I saved at least $30 by booking through Hotwire. I am a little concerned based on some of the reviews I have read on Trip Advisor, but it is located near Termini Train Station (easy access from FCO Airport), and honestly, I doubt I will be spending a lot of time here during my stay... Just pretty much a place to crash after a day of site seeing. P.S. I booked using your HOTWIRE link.
  3. You were correct it is indeed the Manchester Grand Hyatt Resort Hotel. I believe I got a good deal as I was going to book at 2.5 star in Hotel Circle for around the same price. At least this will keep me in the best area and I will not need to rent a car. Thank you for your help. RNJ This is a 4 star hotel, I accidentally posted it as a 5 star. I am not sure if you can fix this.
  4. My apologies for not updated my previous two post. I did update them a few minutes ago. Using BiddingHelper.com tool, the amenities are "FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Resort, Pet friendly, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower"
  5. It was indeed the Renaissance Hotel in Midtown Atlanta
  6. The remainder of this stay, I stayed in Americana Hotel in Crystal City, VA. I booked directly on their website
  7. Please help me ID this 4 Star property in San Diego Gaslamp Quarter - Convention Center Dates of travel 06/17/16 to 06/20/2016 on Hotwire for $108 per night/ Reg price $215 per night Trip Advisor 4.5 out of 5 (2001+ reviews) // Hotwire customer reviews 95% recommended (488 total reviews) Hotel Detals are as follows: Complimentary - Free Internet Amenities - Business center, Golf nearby, Resort Accessibility - Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible parking, and Accessible path of travel I also could have sworn it said pet friendly when I looked at it about 30 mins ago, but that seemed to have disappeared (not that it matters as I won't have any pets with me). Thank you for your assistance.
  8. I tried using the same tool you recommended. I am seeing the same as you, but now the price is $106 per night. I am not certain that it is the Renaissance, as I was recently there and they do charge $14.95 per night for internet. I did a search on Trip Advisor with the parameters from my original find and I'm thinking it may be Twelve Atlantic Station, however, I am not sure.
  9. Hello. I was wondering if I could use your expertise in identifying a 4* Hotel in Midtown Atlanta on HOTWIRE. The dates of travel are check in on 10/10/2014 and out on 10/13/2014 at the rate of $99/night (Reg Rate showing at $184). It has a 90% recommendation from HOTWIRE customers and a 4 out of 5.0 on trip advisor. The amenities are as follows: Free Internet Pet friendly Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center Please let me know what you best guest are. I am hoping to be very close to Piedmont Park. Thank you for your help and as always I will use the links above when I ready to make my purchase. RNJ
  10. Oct 28-30 Select 3.5* Dupont and White House and Convention Center and Crystal City Bid $50, added re-bid zone Bid $55, added re-bid zone Bid $60, rejected and use provided link to bid again Select 3.5* Georgetown and CHSouth and Crystal City Bid $50, added re-bid zone Bid $55, added re-bid zone Bid $56, added Dupont Bid $57, added Convention Center Bid $59, added White House Bid $60, added Georgetown North... Bid Accepted Not very happy, but it is very close to a metro, plus cheaper than my current reservation in a 2 star hotel in Crystal City. Plus on hotwire, this property was going for $68, so I did save money. I was really hoping for the Marriott. From a lot of the reviews I read, not many people liked this Crowne Plaza Hotel. Nevertheless it did get a 4 out of 5 on Tripadvisor.
  11. Travelocity Top Secret Hotel 2 star - Top Secret Hotel Near Van Dorn Metro in Alexandria Days Inn Alexandria 110 S Bragg St West ALEXANDRIA VA US 22312 Booked at $48 per night plus $10 tax and a $1 fee. Not very happy with the property based on reviews and is only $10 cheaper than the advertised price on Days Inn website. Furthermore, it's not anywhere near walking distance to the said Van Dorn Metro in Alexandria. I am going to try to get my money back. At worst, I'm only out of $58 as I doubt I will be staying there. Wish me luck. (Something told me to stay with Hotwire and Priceline. Lesson learned). :( UPDATE: Got A Refund ! =) :)
  12. I won The Melrose Hotel, Washington, D.C. 3½ star :D Georgetown - Foggy Bottom Tripadvisor 4.5 out of 5.0; plus the going rate online is currently $199.00 per night. I'm thankful for such an awesome deal. After several attempts to get a room in DC for less than $85 from Oct 26 to Oct 30 and failing, I decided to change my strategy. I broke up my bids. This was my bidding strategy. Oct 26-28 Select 3* Dupont and White House and Convention Center Bid $50, added re-bid zone Bid $55, added re-bid zone Bid $60, rejected and use provided link to bid again Select 3* Georgetown and CHSouth... Bid $50, added re-bid zone Bid $55, added re-bid zone Bid $56, added Dupont Bid $57, added Convention Center Bid $58, added White House Bid $59, added Georgetown North... Bid Accepted Granted my stay in DC is from Oct 26 to Oct 30, but I now can change my reservations at my hotel in Crystal City to reflect a check in on Monday, Oct 28 and check out on Wednesday, Oct. 30th. I will keep on trying to get a room via price line for the remaining two days. Thank you Better Bidding for you help and support! B)
  13. 2 star - Top Secret Hotel Near Van Dorn Metro in Alexandria Days Inn Alexandria 110 S Bragg St West ALEXANDRIA VA US 22312 Booked at $48 per night plus $10 tax and a $1 fee. :( EDIT TO ADD: GOT A REFUND ! =) B)
  14. No Luck yet. I did get a counter offer of $94.00 when I place a bid for $75.00. I decided against it and tried $78, and $80. Both were rejected. I still have reservations at the place in crystal city and will retry bidding in a few days. Maybe if Priceline see's the event date getting closer with rooms available they'll accept one of the bids. And yes your were correct, my check out date is 10/30. Thanks for the help. =) RNJ
  15. I haven't booked yet, I'm considering using PRICELINE, for a 3 star and up.
  16. Hello, I was wondering if anyone would suggest a bidding strategy for me. I want to use Priceline "name your own price." I am wanting a hotel room 3 stars or more for Washington DC from Saturday, October 26, 2013 to Wednesday, October 20, 2013. I really don't want to pay more than $80.00 per night. I really would prefer the following areas in order of most desired: Dupont Circle - Woodley Park White House Downtown Capitol Hill Convention Center Georgetown Foggy Bottom Capitol Hill South I'm not opposed to Crystal City, Arlington, or suburbs of Maryland as long as the hotel is near a Metro (but the Metro service stops to early for me). I would however, prefer to stay in the district. I already have reservations for a Crystal City hotel at $99 per night, two blocks from the metro. Since I am a night owl, and enjoy night time life activities, staying in the district would be ideal in case I need to walk back to hotel. Any help you can give would be appreciated. Sincerely, RNJ B)
  17. I'm trying to ID a 2* hotel in Washington DC. The dates of travel will be Oct 26 to Oct 30. It's currently showing up at $77 per night (standard rate is $160 --$83 savings). 2* Dupont Circle National Zoo It's 70% recommended. Tripadvisor is 3.5 out of 5.0. Here are the following amenities: Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Roll-in shower Please help ID this property. As always I will book using the provided PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links from betterbidding.com. :) RJ
  18. I needed a cheap hotel in Denver in the next few weeks. I checked Travelocity secret hotels and found a two star hotel at about $54/night. Wanting to get the best bargin, I decided to bid on priceline to see if I could get a better deal. I started with a bid for Denver Downtown 3 stars and up at $50. After that was rejected, I added $1 increments and went down one zone until my bid of $53 was accepted for a 2 star hotel, which was the Ramada Inn. I looked on Trip Advisor and see the reviews are mixed. I am hoping my stay will be fun and comfortable. I used the PRICELINE link above to bid.
  19. Used the PRICELINE link above to bid. First bid 3.5 stars Syracuse University area only $60. Received a counter offer to re-bid at $75. I declined. Then I added a 2nd area, East Syracuse keeping 3.5 stars only (East Syracuse doesn't have any 3.5 star hotels) and I raised my bid t $70. Priceline accepted my offer of $70. I'm happy with my win. =)
  20. Thanks for your reply and tip. I will make sure I check that place out. =)
  21. I used the this site to search and bid for hotels in the NYC area. I really wanted to stay in Manhattan and didn't have a preference except I didn't want to be in the financial area or North of Central Park. I started my Bid at $120, in Chelsea for a 3.5 star. I increased my bid by $5 adding different zones. Once my bid at $170 for a 3.5 was declined, I added 3 Stars and lowered my bid to $155, and it was accepted.
  22. I started out with a 4 star request at $70. Then I added Mt Vernon and raise my bid to $75. After that was denied, I added a 3 1/2 star and lowered my bid to $65 and it was accepted. Not too bad.
  23. Visiting South Florida for a few days and I wanted a bargain. $57 a night isn't too bad of a deal and not too far from Ft Lauderdale or Miami. 4.0 out of 5 Traveler rating by TripAdvisor Recommended in 75 % of Hotwire customer reviews This Hotel features the following amenities: Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access
  24. Thanks for the reminder. Unfortunately, I never made it to the BIG ATL. My work schedule changed and I was unable to go. Can you help me with the DC request. I know for sure I am going to DC. I already bought the plane ticket = )
