  1. $40 bid rejected, rebid at $44 accepted ($58.72 after taxes) for: Crowne Plaza Columbus 33 Nationwide Boulevard Columbus, Ohio 43215 The advance purchase rate for the Crowne Plaza is currently $170 and valet parking appears to be $21/day.
  2. Welcome! We will need more info to answer your question -- Are you flying from Washington state or Washington, DC? Where are you going in New York? Will you be renting a car or using public transportation?
  3. Hotwire does not have the best prices for all flights. There are overnight flights on AA for $338 round-trip including taxes or normal flights on Frontier or Continental for $390 for your dates. Although these may seem high, you don't really have many alternate airports to try.
  4. To add some info for your trip. Delta's operations at JFK are in 2 connected terminals (T2 & T3). There are moving walkways between the two terminals airside. However, if you connect in from a non-Delta flight (i.e. AA) you would need to use the AirTrain and re-clear security. Also, Delta adds additional time into their flight times to & from JFK. According to flightaware.com, the time from wheels up to wheels down is roughly 1 hour. This would mean there is roughly 45 minutes added to the schedule for any issues (late arriving plane, taxi time, waiting for a gate, etc.). However, this won't guarantee that you arrive in JFK early. Here are the flight stats for CLE -> JFK. http://www.flightstats.com/go/FlightRating...ivalAirport=JFK
  5. A $60 bid was accepted for the 3* Hilton Palm Beach Airport. Prior bid of $58 received a counter-offer. Hilton Palm Beach Airport 150 Australian Avenue West Palm Beach, Florida 33406 $60 bid + $14.82 taxes = $74.82
  6. Welcome! You would be charged at the rental company's prevailing rate.
  7. Remember, Priceline is used to fill empty seats for the airlines. When airlines are flying smaller planes to save $ on gas, they likely will have fewer open seats. One thing to consider is whether saving $30 is worth the inflexibility of a Priceline ticket. You don't get to pick your flight times, could have a stop when non-stop flights exist, don't earn frequent flyer miles, and are unable to change your ticket. For many people, saving $30 wouldn't make up for all of the above.
  8. Priceline isn't always the best option for airfare. You may also want to look into Airtran, as they offer direct flights from MCO - MSP.
  9. Welcome! Please take a moment to read the following threads: How Priceline/Hotwire work... Don't bid higher for a specific hotel. These should answer some of your questions about Priceline. Should you wish to try for any hotel in a particular area and star level, please reply in this thread with your maximum bid ($150??) and star level(s) desired and someone will be able to assist you.
  10. It looks like you will either need to increase your maximum bid or consider staying in one of the suburbs (Medford/Somerville or Brookline).
  11. What will be your maximum bid for priceline? $118 is currently your lowest HOTWIRE rate. Also, which area(s) would you want to stay in? Downtown and Copley are the main 'tourist' areas.
  12. According to our Hotwire list, they appear to be: 4* Hilton Financial 3.5* Millenium Boston Should you wish to try Priceline, please post a request for help in this thread.
  13. I am seeing a 4* in Quincy Mkt/ Financial Dist. w/ Fitness, Business, Restaurant for approx. $128. This may be the Hilton Financial, which is only a few blocks from Faneuil Hall. With a hotwire rate of $128, I'd guess that you could get this property (or another 4*) for roughly $90-$110 on Priceline. *Note - Should you wish to try priceline, please ask for help prior to bidding. A good start is to read This Thread to learn how to find the rebid areas for the 4* level.
  14. It probably will be the new Westin Waterfront. However, the Seaport Hotel is another 4* hotel in the area If you would like to try to get a hotel for less on priceline, please feel free to ask (in this thread).
  15. Priceline has minimum bids programmed into their system, so it'll be hard to find any major price errors. I can't find the page listing them now, but from looking at their html code, I think these may be the minimums: 1 Star = $15 2 Star = $17 2.5 Star = $19 3 Star = $25 3.5 Star = $30 (although it looks like their html code is set for $50) 4 Star = $40 Resort = $40 5 Star = $55
  16. You can rebid after 24 hours. If you are looking to stay close to $100, I'd consider staying Downtown before bidding higher in the Copley Area. Even HOTWIRE has a 4* hotel in the Quincy Market/Financial District area for around $125/night. You can likely get a lower rate on Priceline.
  17. FYI: Southwest has codeshare agreements with ATA, so you can fly from PHL to DFW with a connection in Chicago.
  18. It depends on what you consider reasonable. How much are you willing to spend to stay in the city (downtown, copley, etc) and how much for outside the city (natick, waltham etc)? Depending on your plans, your location and cost for each area may be something to consider. For comparison, HOTWIRE is currently showing a 4* Boston Waterfront for $215, which looks like it may be the new Westin Boston Waterfront. A 3* in Newton/Brookline is $129 and in Framingham/Natick is $121 Let us know how much you are looking to spend for each area.
  19. Welcome! This thread has some good information about your question.
  20. If there will be more than double occupancy, Priceline may not be your best option as they only guarantee bedding for 2 people. For information about hotel stays with more than double occupancy, take a look at our Priceline FAQs.If you would like to try Priceline, you will need to locate the 3 free rebid areas for the 4* level in Boston. Priceline rebidding explains how to identify each area. Ask any questions if you need help finding these areas. Once you've located them, we'll provide you with a step-by-step bidding suggestion.
  21. Without a date, we would be unable to check the hotel rates and provide you with information for Priceline and/or Hotwire. Let us know when you are looking to visit Boston and we'll further assist.
  22. Welcome! Most tourists stay in Downtown, Copley, or Cambridge. If you are flying, Revere/Logan may be an option. For info on boston, try the Boston Visitor's Guide If you would like further hotel information, please provide us with your dates and budget.
  23. Hopefully you currently have a refundable back-up reservation. With the recent Big Dig problems, the airport hotels could see an increase in popularity and the hotels would increase their rates in the blink of an eye.
