  1. Drake Swissotel for about $258.82 through EasyClickTravel??? Sun $247.99/night M-W $262.43/night After taxes, you're looking at an average of $299.23 per night.
  2. Did you look at the Hotwire Hotel List - New York here? It matches the 4.5* Hotel on the list for MTE.
  3. Going into the Vacation Package section, the hotel in question appears to be the Hudson. In regards to my trip, I've tried PL today (MTW & UM/CPS) up to $139 without any success, so I still have a backup reservation at the Eastgate. I'll probably let this one sit and see if rates drop a week or two prior to the trip.
  4. Still playing the devil's advocate: Yes you 'need' to use their link, but it (now) brings you to a page without the rebate form. Despite the fact that it says 'unlimited' on the Entertainment page, it does state return the rebate form that is in your 2005 Entertainment Book . However, I'd still fight them if you had a rebate rejected by them. They'll just need learn to put the 'one rebate per card' restriction in future offers. That or hire competent lawyers to review their offer terms.
  5. Alaska Airlines has non-stop flights for PDX-OAK at $140 + taxes = $160.90
  6. You do know that they are owned by the same company. They can argue that you must use the original rebate form.
  7. For the ratings, a 3.5* property on Hotwire could be listed as a 3* on Priceline. The ratings can vary between the two websites. For price comparisons, the reported 3* UM/CPS hotels rates are: Park Central $249 & Hudson $295 ($198 on ECT). It will possibly take more than $140 for a successful 3* bid. Whether this is what you want to stay in (and if it is worth it) is a question to consider. Also to consider, the King size room in the Hudson is 150 sq ft when the 1 bedroom suites in the beekman are 450-650 sq ft. One of the many factors in deciding where to stay in NYC.
  8. Looks right. Let us know how everything goes. Don't forget to use the PRICELINE link from the support page.
  9. You are correct, I didn't remove that when I pasted the previous structure. It all depends on how much you are willing to spend, but that was a (bad) example comparing it to the $170 on Hotwire. The Hudson has come up on PL around $170 in the past, so UM/CPS isn't going to be cheap, especially for your dates. If you want to try for MTE, it will be less expensive than UM/CPS.
  10. The 3.5* MTC hotel has not been identified yet. If you are still looking to try for a 3* (Hudson or Park Central) on PL, and try the 3.5* on hotwire at $170, you may need to bid accordingly: Select 3* UM/CPS... Bid $130 if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $140, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previoulsy. Sleect 3* UM/CPS and re-bid zone2... Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $160, if rejected (and if you want) try for the 3.5* on Hotwire, use code GIFTCARD06 to save $10/night if you are new on HW
  11. Comparing those to the Vacation properties, these look like they could be the hotels in question: Hotel Royal Solaris Los Cabos 4.5* All Inclusive, Resort, Beachfront, Food and Beverages Included, A la Carte Dining Options, Daily Activities Included, Pool(s), Spa Services, Fitness Center, Children's Activity Program, Tennis Nearby, Golf Nearby, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Airport Shuttle, Complimentary Breakfast Dreams Los Cabos 4.5* All Inclusive, Resort, Suite, Beachfront, Pool(s), Spa Services, Fitness Center, Children's Activity Program, Tennis Nearby, Golf Nearby, Restaurant(s), Business Center Westin Resort & Spa Los Cabos 4.5* Resort, Beachfront, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Spa Services, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Business Center, Laundry Facilities (self-service) There is another 4.5* property that is cheaper, but it lacks Golf Nearby. If you do end up using Hotwire, please use the link available from the Support page.
  12. Your dates are similar to the dates I've been attempting, and aren't cheap compared to other weekends. There is a large concert at Randall's Island on Sat/Sun which is likely impacting Manhattan hotel rates. For your reference: Yesterday, I bid up to $135 for 4* in MTW 7/29-31 with no success.
  13. 'Nicer' than the beekman will run you about $75 more (using Hotwire MTE rates) per night for a 4* hotel with smaller rooms. Here is a link the floor plans to Beekman's One bedroom suite: affinia.com/NYC-Hotel/Beekman-Tower/Floor_Plans/one-bedroom_suite.cfm
  14. If you named your own price, you would have seen this:
  15. Las Vegas now has "North Strip" and "South Strip" as new zones. Can't tell if there are other changes for this area, but the strip has been chopped into 2 zones.
  16. Was this bid placed on the U.S. Priceline? It looks like you are posting information that isn't in US$, especially w/ taxes and fees listed seperately.
  17. The rate that you saw on their website wasn't their special rates. The special rates are: 6/30 $149.00, 7/1 $199.00, 7/2 $329.00, 7/3 $239.00 The rate for 7/2 will be the only difficulty in obtaining a low rate. Hotwire is showing a 5* North Strip at $224, so it may be possible to win it on PL for less than $200.
  18. May 30th still has their special rate, so it looks like you should have success on Priceline at $99. Be sure to use the link for Priceline at savingsbarn.com.
  19. As previously mentioned, it's either Copley or Downtown (on PL). Copley is closer, but there isn't a subway to where you are going from Copley, so it's either bus or cab. Downtown has more 'tourist' places, but it is further away. Downtown has the T's 'Silver Line' which runs from Downtown Crossing/Boston Common down towards your hotel. Downtown usually is cheaper than Copley, but hotels have been coming up around $80 in the Copley area recently. Look at the MBTA website for city transportation maps.
  20. To give you an idea of what it will take on PL, here are some Hotwire rates: Lowest 4* hotwire rate for 6/1 - 6/4 is $253/night for MTE. Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Tennis Nearby, Business Center. Cheapest rate anywhere midtown or times square area is $204 for a 2* on HW. Going by that, it looks like it may be difficult to get a 4* hotel for $160 As an alternative, Hotwire has what appears to be the 3.5* Crowne Plaza in SECAUCUS for $84/night. Going rate is $139 online. They claim to have a Complimentary Area Shuttle within 3.0 MI radius of the hotel, so they should be able to transport you to the nearest PATH station to get into the city. Customer Favorite! Read reviews Selected amenities include: Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Business Center, Laundry Facilities
  21. Since you are looking at NJ, rates tend to be cheaper. Thereuare was wondering if you were still trying to get one room or go for two rooms, as this would determine which method of booking a room would work best for you. Since rates are high, occupancy rates are high, so obtaining 2 double beds may be very difficult in most hotels. Priceline guarantees bedding for 2 people, so a king or queen bed meets their requirement. Requiring 2 double beds looks like it may put you out near one of the airports.
