  1. I initially put in $110 but backtracked after seeing a few posts here ranging from $80-140 so I dropped it to $100. Got it on the first try. Hopefully it's nice enough to surprise my soon to be fiancee. ;) thanks for the information it helps so much and yes I clicked the PRICELINE link :)
  2. This is helpful thank you! i've been unsuccessful so far on the low end, bc I got the Hyatt for $100 back in March of last year.
  3. PRICELINE said I could get a rental for $13 a day. Tried their bidding for $11 upped it to $12 switched from compact to Economy and bid $13 with success. I used the Priceline link provided on this website. 15 days x $13 = $195 taxes and fees = $73.68 total $268.68 This is my second time doing a very last minute booking (I booked it today to pick up the car tonight 11pm, and got a great price. I know that bc 2 weeks ago the guy at AVIS told me that priceline prices are hard to beat especially at the $12 price range.
  4. PRICELINE said I could get a rental for $13 a day. Tried their bidding for $10 a day with no success, upped it to $11 and they said nothing lower than $13 would be accepted. I opened a new window, tried $12 a day and it was a success with Avis. 14 days x $12 = $168 taxes and fees = $65.60 total $233.60.
  5. $26 a day, Budget Rent a Car from September 28-Oct 4th. 6 days. Sorry about the confusion. alex

  8. I'm moving to LA and want to rent a car for my duration of 2 months but will happily rent it at one month at a time. Any companies that do that for $12 a day? I tried bidding that low but nothing catching. I'm going June 7th. So not sure if it's too soon or high season. thanks!
  9. nice. I got a little scared of rejection, so i opted to bid $100 for my priceline win. Great catch with $85!

  13. I read the post on rebidding and didn't realize PRICELINE grey's out the stars of certain areas, that is helpful. AaronJB, I've made 4* bids at $80, $82, $85, $95, $100, and $110. And with 3.5* I've bid $80 and $82. thoughts? Our budget really is max $80 (maybe $85) a night and we can stay in a 3-4stars 3, 3.5, 4. I think my girlfriend has a thing against bed bugs and getting scabies. (but then again who doesn't!) alex
  14. Hi, I need a little advice or direction. I'm trying to book 3 rooms in the Pike PLace area for my friends and I. I've tried unsuccessfully and an worried about including other areas since I'm worried about getting stuck there. (IE including South Everett since they don't have any 4 star or 3 star places) How accurate is the list of hotels? And I've even tried booked one room and have my friends book separately since 3 rooms in one hotel seems to be a challenge. May 25-27th Fri-Sun. PIKE PLACE AREA 4 star preferred but willing to go to 3 star. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Alex
