  1. That would appear to be the 3.5* Warwick Amenities: Boutique, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Business, Hi-Speed Internet Information taken from: Hotwire Hotel List Hope this was helpful :)
  2. That is correct, I didn't include the St. Paul zone in my first bidding because I never thought a low bid would be accepted in a "downtown" zone. It is always fun to stay at a property for the first time, so I look forward to the stay. I will be certain to add a review afterwards and let others know about the property.
  3. Interesting, since I didn't see it the last time I looked, but I can now at $186 Was a little confusing to me since they have the same amenities. I haven't been able to identify it using the Hotwire Hotel List I've done a package search using your dates and no 4* properties come up. Have you considered any other areas or using Priceline?
  4. This is a follow up to previous post on rejected 3* bids. Decided to go for a 2* and bid from $28 to $35 Since there are no free rebids available, I will have to add zones where I am willing to stay. Bids: Roseville $28 rejected, added Eagan $30 rejected and then Airport/MOA for $35 also rejected Decided to add another zone and bid a few dollars more, added St. Paul assuming I'd never seen a 2* from that zone, bid $37 and it was accepted: Congratulations, you got your price of $37 for a hotel room, and we've upgraded your hotel quality level to a 3-star hotel! Interesting, since I just tried several other zones for a 3* and was rejected up to $41! A pleasant surprise (I think), this should work fine (there is a pool) it's a good location and I can use my Happenings card at their restaurant and get a free dinner (up to $18) We are staying at the Comfort Inn (Mpls NW) the next night, but I wanted something different for Saturday Your Offer Price: $37.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $37.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $11.58 Total Charges: $48.58 :)
  5. I was bidding hoping to score a inexpensive 3* room for one night, using a maximum of $40 I targeted three areas to bid on: Mpls NW (first choice) Mpls SW and Airport/MOA and will bid on the zones one at a time having four free rebids available. Started with NW bid at $30 - rejected I then added the rebids at $32, $35, $37 and $40, all bids rejected and no counter offers. Closed browser and used SW zone with same strategy as above without success. Started over again with Airport/MOA zone and used same bidding, all rejected again. Just for the heck of it I added the Mpls Downtown zone and bid $42 - rejected. Looks like a cheap 3* may be hard to come by for this date (Saturday night before Labor Day) also Minnesota State Fair time. I may try bidding a couple other zones for 3* or go for a *2 at $30 up to ? :)
  6. Was that a 4* or a 3*? For your dates I see a 3* star with those amenities for $118 If it is really a 3* that you saw, it is most likely the Holiday Inn Seattle Center which as the same amenities The location is :211 Dexter Avenue North, Seattle, Washington Description: The brand-new Holiday Inn Seattle Center - located just minutes from downtown - sits just under the shadow of the Space Needle. Deluxe accommodations include refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and underground secure parking. The Emerald Grill restaurant on-site serves both American and Asian cuisines
  7. Was this your first bid in this zone? Looks like you got a great deal, enjoy your stay! Let us know how your stay is, be the first to post a review for this property
  8. If I'm looking at the same one you were, 3* Best Value at $44 there is no internet, it says Laundry Facilities These amenities match the Doubletree Hotels Club Orlando-Lake Buena Vista (3.5* at one time) Address is 12490 Apopka Vineland Road - Orlando, Florida Is this correct on the amenities?
  9. Looks like the Sheraton Gateway to me, it's on the pinned list and I did a package search to verify.
  10. I think you might be able to do better with Priceline for the USE or USW areas (Union Square) It is helpful to look at recent wins for hotels in those areas (with dates similar to yours) Also, to check other sources, i.e. Expedia, Orbitz or hotel websites for the going rates during those dates. There may be conventions going on during those dates that would affect availablity and prices, this link may be helpful:San Francisco Convention Checker Here is another link that might be helpful (regarding rebidding): PRICELINE RE-BIDDING I just did a quick check with Expedia on your dates, rates looked a little higher on the second part of your San Francisco stay and a few hotels didn't have rooms available for your entire stay. There did look to be plenty of rooms available at other properties, i.e. the Hilton (USW), they have an Expedia rate of $119, possibly meaning you could get a decent Priceline rate if you would win that property. I stayed there in April and found it a nice place to stay. Check out the reviews: S.F. Hilton Reviews
  11. The 3* could possibly be the Clarion Hotel & Towers, which I believe is in the New Bruswick zone and has these amenities: Restaurant(s), Fitness Center, Business Center The address is: 2055 Lincoln Hwy., Edison, New Jersey 08817 The 3 1/2* cannot be identified though, have even tried doing a package search without success.
  12. If this is a 4* property with the amenities you listed, it could be the Hilton Toronto. 145 Richmond Street West, Toronto, Ontario I see for those dates it now shows $246 Have you though about going with Priceline? Check out recent winning bids for Toronto hotels and note the thread on Toronto and the reponse from Thereuare: Winning Bids Canada
  13. What are the dates you are looking at? Also, there is no guarantee of getting the hotel you really want (with Hotwire or Priceline), but with Hotwire it can possibly be identified using information available here. If not on the list, it may be possible to indentify using a package search with your dates. Hotwire Hotel List - New Jersey
  14. Just stayed there on 8/5 (Friday) and really enjoyed the stay. Pool was open again and the hotel looked very nice. I have posted a review: Crowne Plaza Mpls NW review
  15. This property become a Crown Plaza on August 1st, changing from a Holiday Inn Select (previous to that it was a Hilton) We stayed here on a Friday night (August 5th),as we had activities in the Twin Cities area during the weekend. I called about a week ahead to verify the reservation and request a non-smoking room, which was no problem. They said we would be getting a non-smoking room with a king bed and sofa bed, which was great being it was the wife, son (age 7) and I sharing the room. The location of the hotel is about nine miles from downtown Minnepolis, just off I-694/94. I know the area well since it is where I spent most of my childhood. There are now many other hotels in this same area and lots of good places to eat as well. Checkin was no problem, received a non smoking room as promised but, it was a smaller corner room on the fifth floor and no sofa bed! I went back to the front desk, they checked and apologized, we should have had a different room. They did not have any rooms with a sofa bed available (hotel was booked solid), but they promised us a rollaway at no charge (which was fine) Five minutes after we got back to the room, the rollaway was delivered. Very good service I thought (and the rollaway worked out fine) Although the room seemd a tad smaller, it had a nice desk and chair, amoire with 25" television, bathroom was very nice and very nice king size bed. The room worked out great for us, very close to the elevator and in a quiet location. Hotel has a nice size pool (small hot tub though) and sauna. Because it was their first week as a Crowne Plaza, they even had an afternoon reception in the lobby with free appetizers and beverages (including wine), it was great! We filled up on this and had dinner much later in the evening (at a Cracker Barrel - my son's favorite place) Overall we had a wonderful stay, I doubt the next time I get this property it will be for the $30 winning bid for this stay, but I would pay more. This is a very nice property and they did a great job with the renovation. Considering the distance from Minneapolis it would be a great alternative to a downtown hotel.
  16. Nice job on the bid, did you receive any counter offers during your bid? Enjoy your stay and please post a review when you get back to let others know how your stay was - Thanks!
  17. What are the dates you are looking at? I don't think this property has been identified yet and nothing seems to match it doing a package search. How much are you willing to spend? With several free rebid zones you may want to look at a 4* in USE or USW, although parking would expensive in this area. Have you considered using Priceline?
  18. Nice work Cntrfieldsmom, I will be using this one a lot, Thanks!
  19. What are the dates you are thinking about staying? A close match for this property taken from the pinned Hotwire list: 3.5* Westgate Lakes (previously 4*) Amenities: Resort, 1BR, Kitchenette, Pool, Spa, Fitness, Parking, Front Desk, Children's Activities, Tennis, Laundry Florida Hotwire Hotel List
  20. Comfort Inn Brooklyn Center - 1600 James Circle North - Brooklyn Center, Minnesota 55430 Your Offer Price: $30.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $30.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $10.63 Total Charges: $40.63 Was bidding for a 2* for a one night stay during last weekend of Minnesota State Fair (looking for something inexpensive) Started at $25 - Roseville zone, rejected $27 - University-Metrodome, rejected $29 Coon Rapids-Blaine, rejected $30 - Mpls Northwest, accepted I believe another property to add to the list Oops, in title I meant $30
  21. What are the listed amenities for this property? If they are: Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Business Center it is most likely the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill - 400 New Jersey Avenue NW (looking at the Hotwire Hotel List for DC) Hotwire DC Hotel List Best rate direct through Hyatt is $139 for first two nights and $219 for third night
  22. Actually Theruare, I think they mean Clayton, Misssouri - it's part of the St. Louis Hotwire area This looks like a match for the 4 1/2* Chase Park Plaza Hotel (SC)212 N Kingshighway Blvd Saint Louis, MO The location shows it is just east of Clayton, next to Forest Park (north of I-64) Amenities:Boutique Hotel, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Spa Services, High-Speed Internet Access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Business Center, Laundry Facilities (self-service) I took the information from a package lookup and then looked at hotels and the same amenities appear, but I had to view the complete list to see the Laundry Facilities. It also shows as a Best Value
  23. It is most likely Bradford Homesuites - Denver Tech 7150 S. Clinton St, Englewood, Colorado 80112 Hotel features:Suite, Complimentary Breakfast, Pool(s), Fitness Center, Kitchenette, Laundry Facilities (self-service) 3* More information: Located in the Denver Tech Center, this hotel is less than 2 miles from Park Meadows Mall and numerous restaurants. Each of the 128 suites features a full-sized, fully equipped kitchen and separate living, dining, work, bedroom, and bath areas. Guests enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee and fresh pastry each weekday morning in the lobby, as well as wine and food at a weekly guest appreciation reception.
  24. With Priceline for Ann Arbor it is just one area and three levels of hotels: 2 1/2*, 2* and 1* Here's a good place to start to give you an idea of hotels already indentified: Priceline Hotel List - Michigan Then look through the list of winning bids for those from Ann Arbor (there are not a lot): Wiinning Bids Michigan Hotels
  25. It would seem to be a match for this hotel:Royal St. Charles Hotel 3* 135 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana 70130 Amenities:Fitness Center, High-Speed Internet Access This boutique hotel is on the St. Charles Streetcar line in New Orleans central business district, one block from the restaurants of the French Quarter. Did this come up as a Best Value? What are the dates you are looking at staying there?
