  1. 4* Manchester (City Centre) Renaissance $63 ... 10/06/10-10/06/10
  2. 4* NYC (Downtown-Soho-Financial District) Millenium Hilton $140 ... 09/28/10-09/29/10
  3. tried to get this deal just for the 27th and couldn't get $109
  4. 3.5* NYC (Times Square-Theatre District) Millenium Broadway $140 ... 09/27/10 - 09/28/10 Just checked in, reception looks quite run down, bell staff harassed me to take my bag 3 times while I was talking to the receptionist, and room is below average for a 3.5* I'd say. Slightly worried because recent reports of bed bugs on trip advisor. Will put my suitcase in a bin bag as recommended...
  5. do a search on HOTWIRE and click the button to send you price notifications - then they email you daily wether its gone up or down, in my experience it always goes down and best price is day before. Then use PRICELINE to get slightly lower than the HOTWIRE price.
  6. got a king room which was massive like a suite, this hotel was amazing best I've seen in NY yet!
  7. I jumped on this deal found by another better bidding user, thanks! Btw tried $200 first and it failed and gave me a chance to pay $40 more: "Normally you are required to change additional items (add zones, star level, or dates) in order to try your request again. However we are able to extend this one-time opportunity to you because of the zone, quality level and dates you requested. Please increase your price by at least $40." Insted I added the empire zone and set the price to $210 and got the deal. Amazing price for this weekend where the standard rates for this class of hotels is over $400 cause of a UN convention.
  8. Great I was waiting for a deal like this. I tried $200 btw and it was rejected, it wanted me to increase by $40 and said: Normally you are required to change additional items (add zones, star level, or dates) in order to try your request again. However we are able to extend this one-time opportunity to you because of the zone, quality level and dates you requested." However I chose not to increase by $40, added the empire zone and bid $210 and got the same deal as you, cool! Here is a link to my priceline win.
  9. Unfortunately not, I've tried: fri,sat 190 4* empire fri,sat 190 4* empire & times sq fri,sat 190 3.5* empire & times sq fri,sat 200 3.5* empire & times sq & madison sat 200 3.5* empire & times sq & madison No luck yet unfortunately, will try again tomorrow cause don't want to go much higher than I've gone because HOTWIRE has a few 3* in the $215 range.
  10. Ok I jumped on this one too and got Sunday night in NYC at this low price for that crazy weekend. FYI I also tried to add the saturday night with the "add nights" feature, but unsurprisingly got rejected and offered me a rate of $448. Unfortunately it won't now let me try and add the Monday night. My trip is actually the Friday to Wednesday so still got some work to do...
  11. thereuare, I'm having trouble getting my head round your rebid zones post. Any chance you could simply post the list of what zones in NYC do not have 4* hotels? Thanks a lot.
  12. Bids started with USE and USW then added the free rebid zones. $65, $75, $80, $90 accepted. Used the PRICELINE link from BetterBidding. Hope I get 2 beds. Parc55 give you 2 beds for free, Nikki charge for an upgrade to a deluxe 2 bed room.
  13. Up to $125 wow that is quite high. I've been bidding near the same dates and only up to $85 looks like I still have a long way to go. There is a big computing conference on next week (Apple WWDC) so maybe all the Priceline deals have been taken?
  14. Tempe ASU Area Tempe - Days Inn 1221 E Apache Blvd, Tempe, AZ, 85281 (480) 968-7793 Amenities - Pool Wasn't on the list.
  15. I was after the Nugg and tried $52 for 5/7/2010 - 5/11/2010 and was rejected.
  16. You can't cancel HOTWIRE but if you book with the hotel you can cancel your reservation 48 hours before, sometimes even as late as 24 hours before. So if you reserve at $60 then 2 days before HOTWIRE drops to $30 cancel your reservation and book with HOTWIRE and save yourself the cash but don't risk not having somewhere to stay.
  17. $98 4* Paradise Point Resort and Spa Amenities: Resort, Beachfront, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Golf, Tennis Note there was no spa icon. Price goes down a few dollars the more nights you stay. E.g for 3 nights instead of 3 it showed up as $103.
  18. If you could just forward the priceline email to BetterBidding and it was parsed then I think we would get to see many more accepted bids. SOmetimes I just don't have the time to make a post but if I could just send an email it would be very fast. Also perhaps the text at the top of the email could be some info like how many bids etc.. it took - you know just some extra info people usually add to their post.
  19. Decor looks a bit traditional would have preferred a more modern hotel.
  20. $65 Check-In: Thursday, March 11, 2010-04:00 PM Check-Out: Friday, March 12, 2010-12:00 PM Accepted on first bid. (Sorry don't seem to be edit the subtitle to add in the bid and dates :-()
  21. Warning this hotel is not priceline friendly. Extra $30 per night for a 2 queen bed room, and an extra $10 extra for use of the gym and leisure facilities. Also parking is $54 (but you can park across the street for $30 or even $15 if you leave at the right times). The internet is slow and the tap water is cloudy I wouldn't stay here again, bid a bit more and try and get the Hyatt.
