  1. Used BiddingHelper.com. Since this is currently the only 4.5 star hotel in that area I was fairly confident that it was the Modern. The "Pet friendly" amenity is also rare in Waikiki. $258/night was more than I was hoping to find, but is quite a bargain compared to the $400+ rates for their lowest priced rooms on other websites. "Tax recovery and fees" were an additional $58.75/night. Parking will be another $35/night so this definitely isn't a cheap stay. Celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary so what the hey! FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
  2. The accessiblity amenities were: Accessible for visually impairedAccessible for hearing impairedAccessible path of travelIn-room accessibilityAccessible bathroomAccessible parkingRoll-in showerI can confirm that the accessible bathroom has a very big roll-in shower. Breakfast dining room has a ramp for wheelchair or walker access.

  4. Well, there was a $10 charge for in-room wifi . Paid it grudgingly since the Hotwire price was so good. As expected they put us in one of the unrenovated rooms. The worn carpet and dated furniture showed why they're renovating. Nice property with a big lobby bar and attractive pool. Room was spacious. It's right next to the 580 freeway, but we didn't hear any road noise in our room. They gave us a late 2 pm checkout with no hassle. I'd stay there again.
  5. Just returned from our trip. I was a little disappointed in the Red Roof Inn. Room was very dated and had a musty smell. Yes, I know it's a 2* so I wasn't expecting anything fancy, but it seemed a little below 2* standards. Free wifi, but the signal was weak in our room. Overall it was adequate for a one night stay before catching a morning flight home out of SFO, but I definitely would not want to stay longer and will think twice about staying there again.
  6. Used your HOTWIRE link for this win. Tried PL with bids up to $80. Went with this one since I was pretty confident it was the Red Roof based on the 2* with Restaurant and that Red Roof has good Trip Advisor reviews. Free Parking Free Internet Pet friendly Airport Shuttle Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Internet access Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in showe
  7. Booked through your Hotwire link. Tried bidding on PL for the same date and area. Was rejected at $60 for a 2.5* so I decided to go with Hotwire instead. Here are the amenities: Free Parking Pet friendly Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Self service laundry Internet access Tennis Nearby Spa Services The Hotwire hotel details says that there will be a wi-fi surcharge, but the hotel website says that it's free. I'm hoping for free.
  8. $55 for 3* in South Natomas rejected. Added West Sacramento and raised bid to $58 accepted. Used your PRICELINE link.
  9. Amenities: Shuttle, Complimentary Breakfast, Fitness Center, Pool, Laundry, Internet $68 ($84.07 w/tax)/night for three adults. Probably could have gotten a room for $50 on Priceline, but the amenities and a previous posting indicated that this was the Holiday Inn Express that has glowing reviews on TA so I decided it was worth a little extra even if it's just for a one night stay. I used your HOTWIRE link!
  10. Bidding history: Trying for a 4* in downtown Seattle...$110, $120...waited a few days...$130, $135, $140 rejected. Next day tried for 3* in downtown...$80, $90, $100...rejected and :) . Read positive Trip Advisor reviews for 2.5* properties in Lake Union area so tried that... $75, $90, $100, $110, $120 (almost gave up) $130, $140, $150 ACCEPTED! A lot higher than I was hoping to pay based on what others have been posting here, but it's still half off the best online rate that I could find for that property. I heard that there's a big conference in town starting on 7/16 so that's why the downtown area wasn't available and why the prices went up. Used your PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links many times searching for this one. Now it's on to Portland where I hope the bargain hunting is better!
